KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Missouri lawmakers are considering a proposal that could ban sobriety checkpoints, but law enforcement and victim advocates consider those checkpoints an important tool in taking drunk drivers off the road.

ReplyDeleteseems like detention without probable cause to me.
The Supreme Court claimed they were constitutional because they targeted everybody without discriminating, despite the previous probably cause requirement before a cop could pull you over for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
