Midtown Kansas City hipsters and foodies might care a great deal about this announcement but overall this story didn't earn very much attention given that human degradation and the service industry are a tragic fact of life working-class life even at trendy locations.

Port Fonda sells to new ownership in wake of scandal; reopens in June with plans for change
Port Fonda while shut down in January 2021. // Photo by Travis Young Beer KC, the restaurant group behind Beer Kitchen, Mickey's Hideaway, and Char Bar, has acquired embattled restaurant Port Fonda in a deal announced Tuesday. The Westport restaurant will reopen under new ownership and management in June.
