Kansas lawmakers revoke Gov. Kelly's newly issued mask order extension
TOPEKA, Kan. - Top Kansas legislators on Thursday revoked an order aimed at encouraging counties to keep mask mandates amid the coronavirus pandemic, just hours after Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly issued it. Kelly's order required people to wear masks indoors at businesses and public spaces and outdoors when they can't socially distance.

ReplyDeleteSincere question
ReplyDeleteBy what authority does the governor have to demand this? An executive order is used to help her run her administration, not tell people how to live their lives
They have good standing to do so. KS, per their dearly elected granny, took the progressive-communist stance of mask orders. MO did not. At last check, before the table was removed by the CDC, MO & KS, as a comparison of estimated additional deaths were both at ~110% plus or minus. No statistical difference. It should be blatantly obvious the mask orders (and masks), do not work in the slightest. However, critical thought is not part of the democratic-socialist party mindset. They squawk whatever they're told, believe with fervency what they are told to think, all despite the clear and present evidence right in front of their (lyin') eyes.
ReplyDeleteMasks help prevent it, but it's time for people to decide for themselves to either get vaccinated, wear a mask, or risk getting COVID without doing one of the first two if they haven't already gotten it. Let freedom ring!
ReplyDeleteLaws are made in the legislature
ReplyDeleteExecutive orders are not laws
If the governor is truly convinced she is right, then go to the legislature and get it passed into law
That’s how the country is supposed to function
Common sense prevails.
