Evergy, Seaboard, KC Southern listed among companies paying zero corporate income tax in 2020 - Kansas City Business Journal
Three of Kansas City's biggest public companies are listed among a group of 55 profitable publicly traded companies that didn't have to pay federal corporate income taxes in 2020. According to a new report from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, Evergy Inc., Kansas City Southern and Seaboard Corp.
Get it through your thick heads once and for all: CORPORATIONS DO NOT PAY TAXES. Any tax on a corporation is passed along to the end user in the price of the product or service that is being provided. When you demand that taxes be raised on evil corporations you are in effect taxing yourself.
ReplyDeleteEvergy is a monopoly too. How fucked up is this system? I'd prefer nationalization over this bullshit crony "capitalism". What a joke.
ReplyDeleteHave been to the DMV lately? That's what nationalization looks like, commie fucktard.
DeleteDAMN PROGRESSIVE SOCIALIST FASCIST COMMUNIST OLIGARCH DEMOCRATS!!! DAMN BLACK PEOPLE!!!
ReplyDeleteThe progressives are fascists, though. Look at their book-burnings and policing of speech.
DeleteI trying to understand who the bad guy is here? Is it the corporation who some feel don't pay their fare share OR is it the tax system that made it legal for them to pay as little as possible.
ReplyDeleteAre corporations supposed to voluntarily pay more out of good conscience?
Right on this can be fixed but you know lobbyists and campaign donations both sides
Delete^^How about you die or get your diaper-wearing ass out of the country then? OK Boomer?
ReplyDeleteDonald Trump has paid only $750. in taxes over the last 10 years. I paid more than that for a lawnmower
ReplyDeleteThat’s completely false. Idiots, like you, don’t understand taxes. The man pays millions in taxes, every year. What you read was some “hit piece” in the New York Enquirer. Your party relies on your stupidity. You certainly don’t disappoint. We need an election law preventing morons, like you, from voting.
Delete^^ your the one who needs go live in china ok butt fucker.
ReplyDeletethen your a dumbass for paying taxes and not hiring a team of attorneys to hide your money overseas like JOE AND CAMEL, APPLE and all your other tax happy socialists.
ReplyDeleteif you're realistic, you recognize this as a winning issue for biden, even among trumpsters.
ReplyDeleteNo one pays more than they need to unless they're a dumbass. If people don't like that, change the tax laws.
ReplyDeleteKaty trail got an extension b/c ameron had a little environmental problem and after pulling their teeth some money was gotten out of them.

Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer,Ameren $8,371,478
I can understand why obscenely rich fcks do not want to give their money to the government, so the government has got to have programs obscenely rich fcks can feel comfortable giving money to. Or the extremely rich fcks can be better about their philanthropy, like solving the recycling problem.
or assisting in solving the homeless with a big fckn rolls royce of tents
ReplyDeletejust b/c someone you find somewhat scandalous says it doesn't mean you shouldn't seriously fckn consider it.
ReplyDeletedo i have to rewrite that, connect the dots, and SUGAR coat it?
ReplyDeleteI am an average person on a budget. I can't afford a tax attorney. I pay about $5,000 per year in Federal.
ReplyDeleteIts not right that Trump only pays $750.
Mayhomes pays no e-tax.
ReplyDeleteThat's just for you wageslaves.
4:51 - You better start calling on politicians to change the tax laws. Trump would be dumb to pay more than the law says.
ReplyDelete3:24 & 4:51 - Which tax laws did he violate?
ReplyDeleteAnd which tax laws did the three corporations violate?
Answer: none. They paid all the taxes they were required to pay under the law. If anyone who has commented on this post claims to have voluntarily paid more tax than required, you're a liar or a fool.
Trump didn't have to run for president but lost a third of his money over four years after being elected president.
ReplyDelete5:15
ReplyDeleteThe Attorneys in the southern district of NY office will be explaining IN DETAIL which tax laws Trump violated and why he faces a long prison sentence. In 3 months, it is all the press will talk about.
^^ The Libtard press aka Democrapic Media Arm?
ReplyDeleteThey tried to take out Trump for more than four years with false charges, costing American taxpayers millions of dollars that the DNC should be reimbursing. Now, we're paying millions each day for illegal aliens to be placed in cozy sleeping quarters around the country. The Demoncraps would rather spend money on themselves and illegal aliens than American citizens.
ReplyDeleteI have to pay 38k this year in taxes
ReplyDeletecompanies like these leech off of the economy and don't pay shit
the government is gonna take my 38k and give it to all you broke motherfuckers through free stimmy checks that I don't qualify for
fuck that
The $750 was what he owed at year end of whatever year the hot piece was done on him. Businesses and business owners pay throughout the year and the goal is to not owe a lot at year end. Dumb fuck Democrats always bite on that shiny object the media knows they will focus on. Let’s talk about where Demented Joe’s net worth came from. Here’s a clue....it wasn’t a book deal or speaking engagements.
ReplyDeleteBasement Biden said he doesn't owe any taxes on those millions of dollars Hunter got for him in his dealings with the ChiComs. That's was all a charitable contribution. The Biden family is about as scummy as they come. Maybe that's why they seem to be cursed by family deaths.
ReplyDeleteWhy doesn’t the Business Journal find out what large KC companies don’t pay earnings tax? Also which companies collect the tax from their employees but then get a rebate from the city creating a profit center for them. This would be a worthwhile project, true investigative reporting..
ReplyDelete"The report doesn't assert that the companies did anything illegal; instead the companies were taking advantage of legal tax breaks, according to the report."
ReplyDeleteDoesn't mention what they paid in lobbyist fees to get the tax breaks
" And while the companies may not have paid any federal income taxes, they often paid other taxes."
The employees sure as hell paid their share of taxes.
