Kansas City MLK Blvd Redux

This time around fewer people care because of the East side locale following voter push back on The Paseo.

Still, the glacial pace of local legislation frustrates residents who want this issue resolved.

We'll talk about this a bit more before tomorrow's Parks Board meeting but for now here's a worthwhile overview . . .

Kansas City could name a boulevard in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., again.

Kansas City could have a boulevard named in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., again. On Tuesday, the Parks and Recreation Board of Commissioners will vote on a new location. Two years ago, the city council voted to rename Paseo Boulevard in honor of the civil rights leader.

  1. As long as it passes all the Chris Rock tests, we’re good.

  2. Kansas City is a complete clown show.

While the rest of us work and pay taxes to clowns like Mayor Lucas; they turn around and waste it on hotels for hobos, new street signs for name revisions, etc.

  3. I guess they want to go 0-4 with this crap, mlk is long gone and so is his message, the black community didn’t give a crap way back in 1977 when they first voted it down, then in 2013 and 2018, nobody wants a street named after him. The fat fake revs, the cleave and mental midget lickass just wont let it go.

Remember, the black community alone shot it down twice, and then with a mostly black and some white folks along Paseo shot it down a third time. You can’t blame this shit on whitey.

  6. I hope they honor all the blacks killed by blacks in our City. Because BLM movement seems to be ignoring it. Showing that obviously the murderers and BLM didn't listen to him very well nor follow his dream. They did except the communism tactics part of his movement. We often forget MLK JR was a communist, as are the leaders of BLM. Fact is fact, don't live a lie bitches. BTW- I 'd say the same thing no matter what skin color a commie carries. So , eat shit murderers ,commies and anyone that supports them

  8. As protests broke out across the country in the name of Black Lives Matter, the group’s co-founder went on a real estate-buying binge, snagging four high-end homes for $3.2 million in the US alone, according to property records.

Patrisse Khan-Cullors, 37, also eyed property in the Bahamas at an ultra-exclusive resort where Justin Timberlake and Tiger Woods both have homes, The Post has learned. Luxury apartments and townhouses at the beachfront Albany resort outside Nassau are priced between $5 million and $20 million, according to a local agent.

The self-described Marxist last month purchased a $1.4 million home on a secluded road a short drive from Malibu in Los Angeles, according to a report. The 2,370 square-foot property features "soaring ceilings, skylights and plenty of windows" with canyon views. The Topanga Canyon homestead, which includes two houses on a quarter acre, is just one of three homes Khan-Cullors owns in the Los Angeles area, public records show.

  10. @6:20 points out the fllacy of "labels".

Patrisse Khan-Cullors labels herself as a "Marxist" but does this, which is as absurd as Donald Trump labeling himself as a "Patriot" and doing all the devisive things he did to this Country.

  11. Howard no longer believes in MLK Jr. For him, color of skin matters; content of character does not. This is really just a demonstration of power - a test how high the Council members will jump when he says frog.
