Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City in Kansas, chairman of the USCCB’s pro-life committee, said in a statement, “It is difficult to see the FDA’s decision to not enforce important safety protocols as anything other than callous capitulation to the requests of abortion activists without regard for the health and safety of the women involved.”

  3. How insanely hypocritical! The Catholic Bishops have done everything they can to make safe medical abortion UNAVAILABLE to women -- especially poor women -- by supporting every nutball law imaginable. And done as much as possible to increase the number of unwanted pregnancies by restricting access to birth control and family planning -- especially through attacking Planned Parenthood (actually the most effective anti-abortion organization in the world.)

Women have terminated unwanted pregnancies since the stone age. the ONLY question about abortion is NOT whether there will be abortions but whether they will be safe for the woman. For Bishop Naumann to PRETEND that he is interested in the health of hose woman is such a lie it sickens.

  4. Phil, I know you don't like hearing this, and sadly you don't believe it, but as a baptized Catholic you can't escape the indelible mark on your immortal soul.
Before it's too late....RECONSIDER your position. You will be held accountable. Accessory to murder is still forgivable.

  5. Phil, since at least half of the aborted are female...and in China it is even state policy to murder females...I would say your rallying for abortion is the real war on women.

  6. It's amazing how many murderous women there are Phil.

  7. Hey Phil, here’s an idea for you. Why don’t women and men, who don’t want children use birth control? Novel idea but seems like that would eliminate the need for abortions. Or, better yet, how about blacks, in particular have men who stand up and be manly by actually being accountable and responsible? I guess that’s difficult, when you’re a life-long victim and perpetuate life-long victim hood to future generations.
