Sellers' market leaves Kansas City buyers waiting in line

KANSAS CITY, MO. (KCTV5) - Since the pandemic we've seen a neutral market become an extreme sellers' market. Home buyers are finding themselves looking at multiple houses and offering above asking to get their foot in the door. "We were just moving like clockwork," said perspective home buyer Braxton Burns.

  4. Don’t worry people! Mayor mckneely is on the case and is going to rebuild houses for the homeless! It will only cost $500,000 a piece for a house that’s worth $75,000 and they get no rent or taxes from! What a guy! We are so lucky that he’s so smart and he even made up a brand new dept called “housing” that will blow even more money doing nothing! Hahahahaha!

  5. I have been buying properties for years and rehabbing them to flip. I haven't been this busy or profitable in years. It's not always glamorous work, but it can be financially and personally rewarding work. As soon as we put a new roof on a home, we start getting offers. If we put a dumpster outside of a home, we start getting offers. If the area residents see any sort of service-related vehicles; plumbers, carpet layers, or wood being delivered, etc., we start getting offers. People are looking for inexpensive, rehabbed, homes right now, and our profits are pretty much what we decide. We are getting offers over the asking price. I have been buying properties north and south of the river and the activity is the same - homes sold the first day on the market. It's a great time to be in this business.

  6. The article is without content. Endless buyers moving forward with cash offers and without inspections and without appraisals. The housing market is broken. Not the best time to buy a house.
