Jury Deliberates Kylr Yust Prison Sentence

A captivating courtroom quote for today . . .

“If he’s an artist, then he took the bones of Kara and Jessica, and painted them across the woods and left them there to rot. That’s not life,” said the prosecuting attorney.

More sentencing deets:

"Yust faces five to 15 years for the manslaughter charge and 15 years to life in prison for the second-degree murder charge. In Missouri, that life sentence is capped at 30 years."

Comments

  1. Its sad that the Kansas City media of KCTV-5, KMBC-9 etcs totally ignored the disappearance of Belton's Kara Kopetsky and but ran non-stop coverage of the Leawood female lifeguard who disappeared the same day.

  2. The difference is that Kara left school to meet Yust voluntarily she wasn't abducted. Still horrible what happened but she wasn't abducted like the other woman.
