Here's a hopeful note that might not work out for this grindhouse given that the cinema has mostly been replaced by binge watching horrible Internets streaming content AND/OR consuming funny but inherently worthless clips on mobile phones.

Nevertheless . . .

If there is a niche for suckers paying 20 bucks for popcorn and a jug of soda . . . The dupes investing in downtown hype is where they primarily reside.

Liberty-based B&B Theatres revives former Alamo Drafthouse Mainstreet; fall reopening planned

Liberty-based movie chain B&B Theatres is taking the space of Alamo Drafthouse in downtown Kansas City. After eight years in Kansas City, Austin-based theater chain Alamo Drafthouse Mainstreet closed after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy due to pandemic hardship. However, B&B Theatres says despite an unprecedented 2020, they predict exceptional growth and expansion.

  2. lol this will be the third time this theater has changed ownership in 10 years. Guess there was a reason this building was abandoned for decades
