Posted in fairness and because it's important to let the everyone share their side of the story . . . Moreover, we're following-up recent TKC FIRST NEWS given that local media is ignoring an upcoming KCPS School Board election.
After watching the clip, Mr. Bookhart very calmly explains his position and objection to a comment from School Board Member Mr. Abarca regarding racial allegiances.
This is why delving into the practice/voodoo of identity politics is a mistake from the start . . . It's always wiser to respond to communities and individuals from a place of love, respect and/or salesmanship. Note: I've heard this also works with women. But I digress . . .
Also, none of this really explains why somebody would show up at the doorstep of a political adversary during a tense campaign and amid a rhetorical dispute. An e-mail or social media exchange would've worked more effectively . . . And been far more professional.
Political opposition showing up to the doorsteps of their adversaries is ALWAYS clumsy low-rent intimidation, it's NEVER a productive gesture to further the discourse.
TKC has known a lot of people who tried strategy and it only costs political capital and rarely makes a good impression.
Anyhoo . . . Here's the description . . .
"Spark Bookhart publicly responds to Manny Abarca's attempt to assassinate his character on Facebook."
