TKC MUST READ!!! KANSAS CITY URBAN CORE FAITH COMMUNITY LEADERS RECANT DEMANDS FOR REMOVAL OF TOP COP!!!

Last week the pronouncements of local clerics earned high profile coverage from local media and we're sad to see a dramatic turnaround today hasn't garnered the same kind of attention or even an update from Kansas City media outlets.

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY URBAN CORE FAITH LEADERS RENOUNCE DEMANDS FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE KCPD CHIEF AND CLAIM THEY WERE 'MISINFORMED & MISGUIDED' IN THEIR BOLD STATEMENTS!!!

We've been working behind the scenes on a few other things but we're VERY surprised that this news didn't make a bigger splash today after massive news coverage of the initial blast. Nevertheless, we believe the leap of faith might garner more interest tomorrow given that it's always captivating to witness people seeing the light.

Local Faith Community Presser

Opening the hearts to communication is the key in moving forward and making change.

Over the weekend Pastor Darron LaMonte Edwards, Co-Organizer for Getting to the Heart of the Matter, reached out to Dr. Dee Cooper with Heartland Presbytery to openly discuss her statement made this past Friday, "this is not anti-police, it is anti-process".

Pastor Edwards had conversations with Dr. Cooper and tomorrow morning Pastor Edwards will read a letter from the Heartland Presbytery acknowledging that they were misinformed and misguided when they made their statement this past Friday.

Please join Pastor Edwards as well as Chaplains and members of the Kansas City, MO. Police Department as they acknowledge Heartland Presbytery and their willingness to join in on discussions.
Pastor Edwards will also give a much anticipated update on the outstanding progress of Getting to the Heart of the Matter, a solutions initiative supported by the KCPD and Chief Rick Smith.

When:  Tomorrow, Tuesday March 23rd. 9:00am

Where: KCPD East Patrol Division, Community room (front lobby to the left); 27th and Prospect, KCMO

  1. Good on them. It's never easy to admit you were wrong.

    1. of course msm isn't going to report people changing their mind, they only want the most controversial story, not people carefully considering what's best for their own communities and really debating and examining the issue.

Thinking isn't for news, it's for readers.

      There's a difference.

  2. they don't want to side with people who are just in it for themselves. They are doing the right thing.

  3. What the hell were they thinking demanding the KCPD chief’s resignation before they had all the facts??? Typical BLM level of maturity. How embarrassing.

  4. the chief should stay.

  5. Their church members support the police and they know who are the real thugs.

  6. Why do you call them “urban core faith leaders” when they are really just a bunch of fat fake revs stuffing their ugly faces with tons of fried chicken? They’re lying, stealing shysters.

    ReplyDelete
  7. ^^^ Except they're supporting police and doing the right thing whereas you're just taking up space and contributing nothing. Weird.

  8. ^^^ you’re an idiot, is your name joe bidumb?

  9. HOW REFRESHING AND ENCOURAGING TO SEE THOSE IN THE FAITH COMMUNITY STEP FORWARD AND ADMIT A MISTAKE WAS COMMITTED.

Let us work TOGETHER to accomplish what we all seek, a safer and more peaceful community for all KCMO residents.

  10. Let them police their own areas, see how that works out.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I wasn't expecting that. No one ever admits when they're wrong. The revs actually gained a little credibility with this admission and their willingness to have a civil conversation. Good for them.

  12. Cleaver praises the lord one day and aborts babies the next.

    ReplyDelete
  13. They were misinformed and misguided about how this could cost them their tax exempt status. Oops

  14. "Misinformed and misguided" can certainly be applied to way more "positions" that these clowns regularly make "bold" statements about.
They don't know what they're talking about because they make no effort to even try to learn the facts, just like the rest of the BLM SJW east-side crowd.
A brief review of these people's behavior and "demands" over the years demonstrates just how clueless, irresponsible, and arrogant the "anti-crime" fakes really are.
    And completely ineffective.
Maybe they should learn about the record homicides that continue apace in their won community and actually do something about that.
    Sad.

  15. They should never have made that statement to begin with, it’s racist and goes against everything they say happens to them. You can’t target an opposite race with threats and violence, they should know better.

  21. I'm always skeptical of a a quick repentance. What sort of kickback are they receiving for their philosophical reversal? What's changed in a week?

There's either some sort of quid pro quo going on here, or they're receoving more pressure than they can handle.

    Everything is self interest . . . so what's their's?

  25. Manny Abarca sez; I am still afraid; there is a black man on my front porch ringing my doorbell.

I am afraid of black folks but I want to be on the KCPS School Board.

Manny adds I do like BBC and Corn Flakes.

  27. Urban core faith community leaders are niggers.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I can only suspect that the collection plate was much lighter this weekend after the fake rev's kept bagging on Rick Smith as the problem when the congregations know that the hoodlums are not the police or Smith. With multiple murders maybe an Epiphany prior to Easter. This is finally a positive move away from Stacy Shaw, Gwen Grant, Cleaver and the radical BLM's.

  29. We have a nigger problem not a police problem.

  30. Here's yet another story that touches the surface but does not get into the details. What was said to the reverends, who said it, why was it wrong and how did the reverends learn it was a load of bs?
