Badly Scorched Corpse In Vacant Kansas City House Sparks Homicide Investigation

Check the latest manifestation of the ongoing homeless crisis as the COVID plague persists . . .

"Firefighters were called to a house fire in the 2900 block of Wabash Avenue around 9 p.m. Tuesday. As they were working to knock down that fire, crews found a body inside the house. Based on a preliminary investigation at the scene, the Kansas City Police Department is investigating this incident as a homicide. Police said the victim is believed to be an adult male. The house may have been vacant at the time of the fire."

Accordingly . . .

If ruled a homicide this is #34 so far in 2021. At this point, the number pushes KCMO ahead of last year's record pace of 33 at this date on the calendar last year.

I going to go out on a limb and say this is another instance of black on black murder.

Is KCMO 34 out of 34 so far, not to mention the 100s of shootings where the victims did not die yet.

Q should be very thankful for the truman and research trauma ER doctors keeping kcmo from having over a 100 murders so far in 2021

Does KCMO even have a Homicide Unit? If so, what are they doing about this homicide problem? If fatality car accidents are up, they pressure the Traffic Unit to write more tickets or risk being kicked out. So what is the Homicide Unit going to do? Seems things have gotten worse after a certain Sgt. retired.

^^I don't know Maude. Did you call them and find out? Why not? Why are you asking us? Are you too lazy to answer your own questions?
