For more than 25 years, Lamar Johnson has been locked up in a Missouri prison for a crime that almost no one believes he committed. ReplyDeleteMaybe there should be a new rule; have the judge ask the prosecutor in open court to publicly declare that the man he’s put on trial is guilty. Whether a jury convicts is a different matter. But the prosecutor should held responsible if it turns out an innocent man was put in prison If the prosecutor can’t do that, then he shouldn’t be put on trial until he can
