Kansas City Royals GM Dayton Moore Leads Local Racial Conversation

The tough rebuilding year amid another season of COVID isn't too much to distract the Kansas City baseball honcho from civic engagement.

Here's a recent local community project wherein the baseball guru is the biggest name participating . . .

Unite KC's leaders describe the vision for a united Kansas City - breaking down barriers, having tough conversations and working together for the good of the city and to leave a legacy of unity for the next generations.

Unite KC is a grassroots movement where everyone can get involved because we recognize it takes everyone doing One Good Thing to unite a city.

  1. Moore: “What’s happening in our country is wrong and we need to come together."

I assume he's referring to the racially divisive BLM protests, the Antifa riots and befouling our streets with "Black Lives Matter" messages that they try to pass off as art.

    It couldn't be anything else.

  8. Moore: “What’s happening in our country is wrong and we need to come together."

By "wrong" is Dayton Moore talking about he and his multi-millionaire player's salaries subsidized by Jackson County taxpayer funds that should be going for clean water, paved streets, law enforcement and food for the hungry?

What a hypocritical piece of shit trying to protect his own multi-million dollar salary. Fuck Moore and fuck the Royals.

  9. Is Dayton Moore going to move his family to a home on 31st and Paseo to share his love or is he just your typical hypocritical liberal running his mouth trying to make himself look like he cares.

  10. No, 9:27, he's talking about the easily-led gullible chucklowes of the world who worship Trump as a God and ignore the truth and crow about the stolen election that wasn't and buy into every conspiracy theory there ever was and don't believe in science and kick around every verifiable fact like a fucking football.

    Questions?

  11. If Moore was serious he would have used the $50,000 and donated it to Harvesters instead of paying for a facelift. Very metrosexual dude.

  29. seems like they are conflating what is the responsibility of politicians and general public. The general public needs to invite a person of a different race over for dinner!

Take the border wall, republicans and democrats the press know that NAFTA increased illegal immigration but the whole issue gets turned into a sideshow that never addresses the real cause or the desire to insource cheap labor. They are pushing idea that trumpers thrive on being racist and all police arrests of minorities are lynchings, not frustration at the government about non-racial issues or inability of government to provide support and opportunity for all economically disadvantaged communities that police cannot provide -- like the recent crazy epiphany that instead of feeding developers that do not spark long term economic growth the city should lower their tax breaks a couple %s to distribute to schools.
I hope the diverse cast reigns in all these issues.

  30. "If you left your basement you would know there are some older nice houses in that neighborhood"

You are exactly right; there are homes with beautiful architecture on Paseo, Benton Boulevard, Linwood Boulevard.........

so when are you and the Dayton Moore's and other Marxist Democrats going to move into one of these architecturally pleasing homes and help these neighborhoods with your love and financial support ?

Your not going to? Just running your mouth to sound like you care? Trying to sound like you are morally superior ? Thanks for proving my point that Marxist Democrats are hypocritical liars.

  31. the govenment acts like they played no part in destroying the farming and manufacturing industries, the backbone of the midwest. Government claims newer generations had no interest in small towns or farming and want to live in "hip" places like KC metro where the economy will stay afloat by the "ingenuity and resilience of its urban residents to thrive." https://civileats.com/2018/09/10/is-the-second-farm-crisis-upon-us/
