Kansas City Homeless Demand Representation

The poor scamps living on local streets have learned from KC Tenants and Stand Up KC social justice movements; brightly colored t-shirts and heartfelt conversations with local newsies power a new wave of activism and more demands for resources.

Sadly, there's no hint at where the money to pay for freebie housing will come from . . . And, sadly, freebie housing resources are nowhere to be found in the Prez Biden bailout budget that's mostly just a clandestine corporate shell game.

But, I'm sure city hall will figure it out somehow.

In the meantime, a recent Internets clip helps explain why homeless camps remain at city hall and in Westport.

Here's public tv activism promo . . .

"When Scott Eike froze to death on New Year's Day, pressure to assist the unhoused community forced the city to open Bartle Hall as an overnight warming center. But as the crisis of a pandemic, sub-zero temperatures, evictions and chronic homelessness converge, houseless advocates are done accepting temporary solutions. A new push for stable dignified housing assistance has emerged with demands that members of the unhoused community have a seat at the decision-making table."

Take a look . . .

  3. ^^@9:52AM I'd rather be a "Democrap greedy union slob" rather than a fat geriatric fucktard like you. You don't EVER do anything but cry on a blog ALL DAY LONG! You're a hateful, lonely, pathetic waste of life. Give me the union slobs all day long as opposed to people like you.

  8. It used to be that only taxpayers deserved political representation. Hence, no taxation without representation. Now the grifters align with the politicians to fleece the taxpayers.

  10. They have the SAME representation as all other taxpayers. They want special treatment for their communist ideaology. The working people OWE YOU NOTHING.

  11. City is looking at leasing a hotel in the city to house and feed these folks at taxpayer's expense. Next time you are downtown take a look at the trashy rat infested camp they have on the south lawn of city hall.

  12. Scott Eike was a grown man. He was responsible for taking care of himself. He didn't, and paid the price.

So, exactly how does a union homeless person "strike" ? There's no job to walk out on, surely they won't stop doing drugs ... what exactly changes ?

  15. One runaway truck,
    One slip in the muck,
    One stretch of bad luck,
    Homelessness.
    One family feud,
    One litigious old prude,
    One long bad mood,
    Homelessness.
    One toaster too hot,
    One investment that's not,
    One tiny blood clot;
    Homelessness.
    One decision on gin,
    One paycheck too thin,
    One dumb night of sin,
    Homelessness
