Kansas City 'Fight For $15' Leader Warns Democratic Party To Keep Working On Fair Wage Or Risk Losing Critical Support

Of course, advocates for a higher minimum wage led by local organizer Terrance Wise was the first constituency that Prez Biden's team sold out.

There's not much hope that progressives will push this policy debate because distracting people with racially divisive culture war garbage is far more effective at garnering media support.

And so now, local workers are FINALLY realizing that they're also at odds with so-called progressives.

'You will not have your seat again': how the Fight for $15 movement gained new momentum

For Terrence Wise, a McDonald's employee from Kansas City, Missouri, the battle for a raise in the federal minimum wage is far from over. Joe Biden campaigned on a raise, the first since 2009, and the majority of Americans of both parties support an increase.

  1. Terrence Wise... It’s nice to put a name on the guy who has been tirelessly promoting the work my company does. Without him and others around the country like him, I fear sales of robotic restaurant equipment wouldn’t continue to grow. But even now, with all the Covid-related closings, our sales are still increasing. Thank you Terrence!!!

  3. These kinds of "demands" and threats show just how clueless these "leaders" are.
If his Democratic candidate loses the election, they're probably going to be replaced with a Republican who not only won't support a $15/hour minimum wage, but couldn't care less about the "movement" and won't give Mr. Big Pants the time of day.
Be careful what you wish for.

  4. Wage and price control.
Sure..., that has always worked in the past.

Let's just move to Venezuela - live in the homes, now vacant, because. literally, at this point 33% of ALL Venezuelans, live here!

    Fuck Globalist scum.

  7. 6:43: I don't know how well your robotic restaurant equipment will work out, but have you seen the results of the self-checkout machines at CVS? They suck, and just about everyone gave up on them including the employees.

It will be a great day when I don't have to deal with a McDonald's employee speaking ebonics.

  10. Only in a country as shitty as ours would $15 an hour be considered too high for a worker.

  11. I did not make the comment at 1:35.

Can't the minimum wage be raised at all?

How about putting limits on CEO pay?

  12. No it can't Byron. They call them entry level jobs for a reason you moron!

  13. The person posting as "Byron" is actually a fraud...he is a punk who lives in Raytown and hangs around at the Serenity Coffee shop at 6109 Blue Ridge Blvd. half the day to use the free WIFI.

  14. "No it can't Byron. They call them entry level jobs for a reason you moron!"

And yet it can. Weird. Every time raising the minimum wages is discussed the same old arguments are raised, and every time the minimum wage is raised the world does not end.

  15. The world does not end but the world of the entry level unskilled workers who can no longer find jobs might as well end as they are rendered unemployable. Of course, nobody cares about them.

  16. Biden and Yellen are working hard to make the $15 an hour happen. Unfortunately they will do it by making that $15 just enough to buy a hamburger in a few years. McDonalds hamburgers were once 15 cents before the massive inflation of the 70s. Keep printing money (or as they like to say quanitative easing) and it could happen again.

  17. ^^and yet it never , ever, will. Weird.
