Kansas City 2021 Homicide #29: Police Discover Woman Shot Dead On Wabash Ave. After Gunfire Echos Through Streets
Overnight more deadly gunfire rang out in the urban core as the level of Kansas City violence remains constant with last year's record breaking pace.

Shortly before 10pm on Wednesday night, officers were on patrol in the area of 6th and Prospect Ave when they heard the sound of gunshots. Officers conducted an area canvass and located a female victim lying in the street in the
500 block of Wabash Ave. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The victim is believed to be an adult.
Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene. They will be processing the scene for evidence. Detectives are also canvassing for any witnesses.
