Hipsters At The Pitch Seem Impressed By Ongoing East Side Effort To Oust KCPD Chief

Our formerly favorite "alt." publication offers more coverage on a news blast against the Kansas City top cop.

The headline is impressive and the stage is set for the next chapter in this conflict that might or might not burn down half of this cowtown . . . However, for now it's worth noting that votes on the police board remain unswayed by demands for the Chief's removal and outcry for "local control" hasn't yet resonated among the majority of KCMO voters who seem skeptical of "mostly peaceful" protesters.

How does dr dee feel about the recurrent giraffe deaths at the KC zoo? should giraffes be housed in cold winter zoos where confinement causes great stress and death?
Does investing 70 million dollars to create an aquarium, of non local species take away from resources to care and comfortably house other non native animals?

I grab a Pitch every week and throw it in the bottom of my recycle bin to absorb the spilled liquids. That's about all it's good for.

is a very expensive aquarium stocked with exotic species taken from fragile ecosystems for entertainment benefit the ecosystems of origin or is it misplaced naive philanthropy by those who believe it will make the city and world a better place?

The Pitch should have been in the room when he rounded up the Traffic Unit and threatened them to write more tickets or find a new place to work. Totally unprecedented and unacceptable, he should be ashamed for himself.

still believe the focus should be what happens in the years before arrest/incarceration, in incarceration, and the years/employment after incarceration.

or we can continue to fling useless shit at one another.

politicians are deflecting accountability for their laws and policies.

Of course they are. True to liberal logic we can't address the root cause of the record black on everyone else crime and murder - black thug culture.

They should be going after the worthless count Petersucker, she alone is the reason the murderous blacks are free to kill everyday, the star knows this, they wrote a killer article dissing her on how bad she is and and her failed catch and release program a long time ago... wait a second, I have the link somewhere.

Why because Smith won't call his officers off so the BLM gang can keep killing and destroying? I agree lets get Smith gone and put a real cop in who is going to kick some butt and put a stop to BLM and the mayor. Ha anyone ever listened to a black church?? These are racist people who preach nonsense and twist the bible. Just look at the blasphemy Cleaver spews out. These people ARE NOT CHRISTIAN PEOPLE. What does eastern Kansas have to do with any of this??? Sounds like a gang. That church is a church that has fallen away from the truth. No true Christian church would do this.

So the "journalists" at the Pitch and a bunch of east side revs are going to run the KCMO police department?
Then shouldn't the Pitch's articles and all the revs' sermons be reviewed by the police board?
You really can't make up the nonsense that comes out of KCMO almost daily.
And meanwhile the east side black-on-black killing continues at a record pace.

The Board and Smith need to stand strong. Smith has done a good job given what has happened in the last 18 months or so.
