It looks like only Guv Parson can save this town from certain doom if this Republican "revenge bill" passes.

KCPD residency requirement bill advances out of Missouri Senate
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City, Missouri, police officers could soon be allowed to live outside city limits, if a bill in the Missouri legislature passes. Senate Bill 53 is a compilation of provisions relating to law enforcement, but the piece that would remove residency requirements for KCPD has garnered attention.

ReplyDeleteWhy bother to be with the KCPD at all. Live in peace and work in peace outside of KCMO.
stop being a cop all together
ReplyDeleteFORCING SOMEONE TO LIVE WHERE YOU WANT THEM TO LIVE IS PURE COMMUNISM.
ReplyDeleteBUT TRUMP IS THE NAZI
ReplyDeleteTRUMP IS THE COMMY
ReplyDeleteWhy should anyone be forced to live in a crime ridden shithole ghetto?
ReplyDeleteDemocrats sit around and bully and force people to do things they don’t want then call repubes commies and nazis.
ReplyDeleteNext up will be the fire department. When you only work a day or two a week you can live in Columbia and commute to work.
ReplyDeletebrilliant comment 9:35, just could not have done better myself
ReplyDeleteand after that two hour road trip, there is a cot at the station waiting for them :)
seems like KC has no representation at all in Jeff City - we keep getting punked over and over
this is positively contemptuous of platte county punk luetktekmeyer, to "own the libs" I guess he thinks this is a trumpy kind of win
terrible public policy. is it too late to wrench away platte and buchanan counties from Missouri and give it back to some indian tribe to free us from dipshits like this luektemekemeyer
That's fine if they move out of KC. No commitment to their community. That's sad. I hope they're not allowed to take their police cars home any longer if they don't live in the City. think of the additional costs to taxpayers if they live in Raymore, for instance. Additional fuel costs for the longer commute will add up to several hundred thousands of dollars every year. Taxpayers should not be responsible for the additional costs.
ReplyDeleteHope it passes. A bunch of cops live in my neighborhood. The ones near me are the worst neighbors. Act like arrogant thugs. Fireworks at all hours randomly , loud parties, constantly acting like karens, complaining on facebook all the time. Puffing up chests like anyone cares.
ReplyDeleteMove out of the city so we can get some quiet.
LOL, an interesting take, 6:01
ReplyDeletehighlights an important fact
KC not at all like st louie
KC has huge square mileage, and sections like suburban areas like you are likely describing, little 'cop lands' in lees summit, basically, or independence, basically, but KC technically.
