TKC QUESTION: HAVE KANSAS CITY STREETS IMPROVED TODAY?!?

Without question Midtown is easier to navigate today.

Moreover, we have to be forthright . . . I've seen a snow plow TWICE in my neighborhood which is kind of like seeing a unicorn given that former City Manager Troy Schulte hibernates for most the Winter.

Still . . . Our friends on the Southside are still cursed with substandard services if social media posts are any indication.

And so we ask . . .

HAS YOUR KCMO STREET BEEN CLEARED YET?!?!

As usual, JoCo will gloat and laugh at our troubles but the struggle to drive/ride/walk amid worsening local streets is REAL and one of the very basic services that is always neglected by politicos who are often far more concerned with social justice advocacy.

  1. Only on the main roads, the side streets are sheets of ice.

it's the same old story, the new city manager hasn't changed the routine at all.

  7. So they rant and rave on social media, but they'll go with the status quo when they step in a voting booth... Sounds like KCMO to me!

  8. A little late but they did come down my street today with a plow and bonus points for my hilly street they put salt down too! They haven’t done that for years so I’m actually grateful for a change.

  9. A city truck drove down my street with the blade up in the air and no sand or salt coming out the back. Must have been lost.

  10. They dropped about half a bag of salt in the middle of the street. We are in the white suburbs of the Northland, so I guess we got what we deserved. Equity and all that.
