TKC MUST READ!!! KANSAS CITY BUDGET CUT FUN FACT: COVID EMPTY STADIUMS EARN BIG BUCKS WHILST POLICE CUT!!!
This morning locals will be talking about the structurally unbalanced KCMO budget and feigning poverty amid some egregious giveaways. Meanwhile, some of the most KICK-ASS TKC READERS have a read actually read the budget and offer worthwhile suggestions.
To wit . . .
12TH & OAK CUTS POLICE BUT FULLY FUNDS MOSTLY EMPTY STADIUMS AMID CONTINUED COVID CROWD LIMITS!!!
Here's the word . . .
"With all the complaining about Northland soccer complex, if you read the KC 2021-2022 budget the stadium allocation (p.244) remains at $2 million. How many games did the Royals play at the stadium last year? The Chiefs only allowed 22% capacity.
"Why do they get to be fully funded while police and other essential services are cut?"
You decide . . .
What's a few million between friends?
ReplyDelete^^^ lulz
DeleteWhy?
ReplyDeleteEasy question to answer.
The way rich people like the Hunts get that way is that they use the public's money to assume the risk of a project and they then take the profits, if there are any.
The NFL is a multi-billion dollar operation, with many dozens of players, coaches, and NFL executives, much less the teams' owners, making hundreds of millions/year.
People like Lucas don't have the guts to even address the issue, much less try to do something about it.
And there are always the cushy boxes for the electeds.
Wouldn't want them to have to watch the games surrounded by the riff raff!
THAT DUMP IS DONE!
ReplyDeleteThe police are only being cut because that's what liberal Democrats want.
ReplyDeleteAnd...KCMO continues on its path to be the #1 most dangerous city in America. Soon to be sprawling with homeless camps and tent cities. Just you wait! I can hardly contain my excitement!! Thanks, Q!!!
ReplyDeleteThis will end the mayor’s local political career. He has publicly stated, along with his chief of staff and city manager that this doesn’t reduce police staffing. All three know they are lying but just want to get through the budget process. They will be held accountable later for lying to the taxpayers. Shields may not care because no one expects her to stay in town after this term ends. This council is going to look much different after the districts are redrawn. Some of these idiots are going to be looking for jobs next time as the power is shifting north. All while the real victims of crime continue to be people of color. If the 5th and the 3rd council people don’t care about their residents, why should anyone else?
ReplyDelete@7:40 I sure hope you're right. There's nothing I'd like better than to see the Mayor and his council cronies' career aspirations go up in flames.
ReplyDeleteIt's RACIST
ReplyDeleteThe show must go on or the circus or sports.
ReplyDelete7:40 Alas, you dream too much. NEVAR accountability for democraps or black revs and developers. They will always vote for status quo regardless of results. Control is what it's all about, and skim money of course.
ReplyDeleteIt has been obvious to the "deplorables" for years how this shitty spends on bling, instead of needed services nor infrastructure, until something falls down, then too late.
VOTE NO on the Etax to hurry bankruptcy up, possibly (doubtfully) forcing positive change.
There is probably an existing contract requiring city funding of Royals Stadium and Arrowhead. I'd guess the budgeted payments are made pursuant to those contracts. I doubt that they are discretionary.
ReplyDeleteThe liberal democrats seem to get a lot of criticism here for being soft on crime. Just remember who the criminals are in this country... They are being rounded up by the FBI today for the insurrection.
ReplyDeleteDid they catch that cadre of assassins hired by Ted Cruz to kill AOC? The truth is out there man!
DeleteI like the little portrait of Mayor McDrinkerson. It needs a jester hat, just a suggestion. Not that anyone is in danger of taking this failboat seriously.
ReplyDeletewhat the hell is going on in kc fire dept gets more money and police gets cut in budget someone need to look into this i would rather the police gets more and the fire gets less fire has always got the most raises and such as police sucks hind tit
ReplyDeleteWhy are we still funding the American Royal Complex in the West Bottoms? They don't even have their event there anymore.
ReplyDeleteTHE WRATH OF THE AWAKENED SAXON
ReplyDeleteby Rudyard Kipling
It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.
They were not easily moved,
They were icy -- willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.
Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.
It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.
It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.
Good thing we're not Saxons.
DeleteWell, some of us are.
DeleteGosh, I am sure glad I no longer work downtown in KCMO for one of those big publicly traded companies. I am glad that I no longer fund that cesspool with 1% earnings tax on MY money.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your doggiedoo business is thriving. Congratulations.
DeleteThanks to Sleepy Joe, the infection rates are down and the number of vaccines is increasing exponentially. Dear Leader just got knocked out again! America is back on track for greatness!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGet over it, MAGATS. You lost.
$77.72 million goes to police retirement and health ins out of the projected 262 million budget.
ReplyDelete$51.03 million goes to patrol and patrol admin whatever that means.
$84.39 million goes to “patrol bureau” what is different about this area and the one above?
$39.85 goes to investigations bureau.
$30.23 goes to the executive services bureau. Again, what is the dept?
$6.54 million goes to administration bureau.
$5.89 goes to professional development and research.
I don’t think a $12 million dollar cut is going to hurt the police one bit, they’re taking excessive amounts of money and putting it into expensive and bloated retirements and retirees health ins.
Have you seen the FD take a $12 million cut? Or how about city hall? All those extravagant expenses for Q & the theif council. No dept. Gets as many calls for help than the KCPD. Just because hippies & ghetto thugs H8 cops don't make it right to cut their budget but not yours. FO sjw ass Q.Clueless.
Delete12:53 you seem to have an obsession with maggots, I guess in a pinch you can eat them to survive on. Your tds is pretty serious dude, get help, dementia joe used you and now you’re gonna pay for your mistakes, welfare is getting cut, your free health care is getting cut, they plan on using that money to pay China back for all the bribe money Trump refused to pay them.
ReplyDeleteIt's becoming clear that President Trump did all the heavy lifting when it comes to the pandemic. Trump implemented the travel ban on China, fast-tracked therapeutics, developed vaccines, and helped get vaccination numbers up to about a million doses a day. Biden comes along and all the big and important stuff has already been done.
ReplyDeleteTrump spent six months denying it and two months under the bed kicking and screaming while 200,000 Americans died who likely didn't have to...you call that "heavy lifting?"
DeleteFucking chucklowes, always lying
Lying like Biden has been doing constantly? You suckers bought it though. Hell, even the Washington Post is calling him out on it today.
DeleteFuck Biden supporters. You fucking idiots. Thanks for the high gas prices, rising interest rates and endless masking. Dumb fucking communists GTFOH
ReplyDeleteSo let me get this straight, "Bri," with twelve refineries in Texas shut down to a lack of electricity, you still have the nerve to blame Biden for gasoline prices?
DeleteSo "Bri" isn't short for Bright, is it?
RAPEY JOE IS A RETARD
ReplyDelete2:03, there is no relation between our gas prices and the Texas energy shortfall.
ReplyDeleteYeah the supply hasn't gone down at ALL, 3:29!!! (eyeroll)
DeleteMaybe when you leave Chucklowe Fantasy Village, you'll see the light.
But I doubt it.
Some Of Texas' Biggest Refineries Could Take Weeks To Restart
DeleteTexas Oil Refiners Will Take Weeks to Recover, Pushing Up US Gasoline Prices
Shut up, 3:29.
Go ahead and cut; we don’t have police protection in River Market now so it won’t make any difference. Police resources are all used East of Troost.
ReplyDelete3:45 shut up you tomato faced turd whistle!
ReplyDelete@2:03 Nice straw man, dimwit.
ReplyDeleteThe $2 Million is a "pass through" from the State as part of the funding mechanism for the Sports Complex. It has NOTHING to do with KCMO revenue.
ReplyDeleteThe KCMOPD, on the other hand, is an army of occupation imposed on the citizens of KC by the State and controlled -- to the extent that anyone actually controls them -- by that State Board. KC cops deeply resent ANY control -- local or otherwise -- and desperately want to be able to live OUTSIDE the City that pays their salaries. They envy Minneapolis -- where only 6% of cops live in the city. Ask George Floyd how that worked out.
We have a lot of really good cops serving in a system that encourages -- or at least protects -- bad behavior. FOUR KC cops are under criminal indictment -- just like Floyd's killers -- primarily because their Chief created a situation where the only check on bad behavior is indictment.
