Kansas Republicans Cutting COVID Help

Sadly, there are a few poor souls out there who haven't been able to garner any COVID help.

Whilst the Prez Biden bailout is on the way, the Republicans are giving Sunflower State po'folk a bit of tough lough in order to try and stop rampant fraud.

Kansas GOP plan to curb jobless aid during pandemic sparks backlash

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) - Republican legislators and a powerful business group are pushing a proposal to make it harder for unemployed Kansas workers to get extended benefits, arguing that extra weeks of aid are available even when thousands of jobs remain unfilled.

  2. Good for the GOP this money is not free and we have to pay it back through taxes. It's better to get a job, so the democrats need to open everything back up and stop trying to bring this country down. This can't go on any longer. Missouri needs to do the same thing. Fraud is big on this, and the free food people take advantage of. Just ask my special friend in Central Hyde Park all about her free food.

  3. Bad politics by the GOP. A lot of people were put out of work through no fault of their own. Now is not the time to cut back unemployment. Add this to the indignity that a lot of people had to wait an abnormally long period of time without benefits, all while the criminal hacksters were getting their cut of unemployment through fraud. An epic scandal that the incompetent Kelly Administration presided over. Drain the Topeka Swamp of all tone-deaf politicians!!
