The so-called local paper-of-record imagines that people aren't ALREADY CARRYING GUNS on the bus. Fact is, so many local shootings near bus stops prove them wrong.
Moreover, there is an answer to their sloppy rhetorical question: Concealed Carry on public transit would offer legal protections to lawful gun owners AND hopefully create a moment of doubt in the mind of some criminals who sought to target victims.
To be fair, the increased potential for gun fights on the bus isn't a thrilling prospect. But the reality is those gun battles ALREADY occur . . . Working to disarm the public won't help and only emboldens criminals.
