A beloved local musician shares more perspective on his pandemic story . . .
There were times, he said, when visitors to O’Malley’s came in mask-less. It made Reeder mad.
“I told ’em to leave,” he said. “You look at these people in the audience not wearing masks. I said, ‘If you can’t wear a mask, then get out.’ . . . My reaction to it is that it’s inconsiderate. It’s disrespectful to others. I mean, people wear seat belts because it keeps you from dying. It’s the same thing. You wear the mask, you save everybody in the car, you know. But I find (the argument) so absurd that it’s cutting into their freedom. They’re free to go the hospital. I wouldn’t wish this on anybody, because what I went through is life changing. It’s changed the way we live, the way we see things.”

To hear (Reeder) tell it, the disease threw him against the wall and wiped the floor with him. Bob Reeder, a well-traveled folk singer known for his penchant for Irish ballads and limericks, has a story to tell. Bob, you see, has been to the other side and back.
I don't blame him for being afraid of Covid. He is 71 and looks 81. Musicians often don't have very good healthcare either.
ReplyDeleteThey don't have audiences that amount to anything now and haven't for about a year now. Screw your politics. Shut up and sing!
ReplyDeleteThe irish are the worst.
ReplyDeleteDoes he sing with a mask on?
ReplyDeleteI stand corrected - the irish are a close second.
ReplyDeleteNah, geriatrics are the worst! The absolute worst. Crying all day, reeking of shit, hateful, slow and dumb. So fucking dumb.

ReplyDeleteMy objective is to turn away democrats. Looks like our country is divided more than ever now. Right on one side left on the other. I'm OK with that.
He should be happy people still want to come and hear him perform. Yelling at people because he has been brainwashed into being scared of his fellow human beings is on him, not them.
ReplyDeleteTry to keep up CHUD - Geriatrics no longer a problem, wutang thinned the herd.
ReplyDeleteHe was chastising a bunch of liberals. More power to him!
ReplyDeleteFckin dumbass progressives. Not that I've ever watched him, but for damn sure I won't. Fck the mask and the dumbfcks that think it somehow filters out an airborne virus when it is designed for filtering dust. Not just any virus, a very smart one that stops becoming transmissible after 10 especially in a riot err peaceful protest, at any prog dinner party, or wherever its inconvenient for progressives daily activities.
ReplyDelete^^OK Boomer. You're not qualified to speak on anything except the Matlock plot line. Go away.
ReplyDeleteWhat's a Matlock, you triggered old chimp?
DeleteWhy didn't he require two masks? Fake Dr. Faucistein says two are better than one now. ππΏπ₯¨πΊ
ReplyDeleteDude rides alone with his mask on. DIpshit.
