Kansas City Convention Center Homeless Camp Desperately Seeking Community Help

Despite the tragic financial circumstances, here's a story that should make those of us lucky enough to have a roof over our head tonight feel some level of gratitude.

  5. How much could it cost? a EMPTY convention Center, prior to Covid, the convention center was usually empty most of the year! Its not a hot spot for city revenue, but looks like it could be a hot spot keeping people out of the cold, my tax dollars paid for that dump, and I think its awesome we can utilize that dump tax payers waste of money to house homeless people, all lives matter!

  7. The is still no legal agreement in place with the city and the organization running it. The city swiftly setup this center with ppl that have little to no experience in running this type of program and lacked the capacity to see it through. However the same city will immediately shut down a developer that is actively seeking to produce more affordable housing.
