Kansas City-area workers hopeful for $15 minimum wage in latest COVID-19 relief bill

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Congress returns to Washington D.C. this week to debate and work on the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill. Tacked onto the bill is a proposal to raise the Federal minimum wage to $15 an hour. For those making less than $15 an hour, they say it's time to get paid more.

  1. Biden and De Blasio together have put thousands out of work, do you really think Biden is going to do that? Biden has cause the price of grain to go up the price of hay to go up, the price of gas to go up, and that makes the price of beef to go up. Farmers said the price is going to sky rocket and the domino effect will be everything else. Lets see what happens. I hope you democrats are financially set for what's coming. Really stupid move on Biden's part to shut down the pipeline.

  3. $15 per hour will go well with 50% unemployment.

  4. Gas was $1.67 about six weeks ago. Thanks, Basement Biden, for raising that to about $2.29 in a very short time. Can't wait to see where you take our home energy bills.

  5. Kc activist should have already figured out the election is over and the dems have no intention of fulfilling any promises that don't involve flooding the country with illegals to lower your pay, increase your rent and taxes while lowering your standard of living AND ramping up more war to satiate the industrial military complex.

    Suckers.

  6. $1,900,000,000,000 / 333,000,000 Americans is $5,700 each. 40 hours x 50 weeks is 2,000. So you need extra $2.85 / hour just for covid.

  8. So what are these “activists” going to say when people start losing their jobs because a business can’t pay $15.00 an hour?

  9. ^^and yet they can dummy, they just chose not to. If they close, someone who will pay will open and take their market share. That's capitalism dipshit. You drive a truck, so that means you're a moron. Try to keep up though. Weird.
