Kansas City 2021 Homicide #16: South Side Woman Stabbed To Death

Kansas City Valentine's Day weekend begins with a spate of violence.

What seems like a deadly domestic drama adds another victim to this town's rapidly rising body count.

Here's the police narrative and a local slice of life report from the area around the Blue Ridge Boulevard and Bannister Road intersection . . .

When officers arrived, they were led to an apartment building. There, they found a woman inside an apartment who was unresponsive.

EMS responded and she was declared dead at the scene. Her injuries are currently unknown. However, crime scene investigators, detectives, and medical examiners will be working to determine the cause of her death.

A man was taken into custody at the scene, according to police. He is considered a person of interest. Detectives are not looking for any additional suspects at this time.

Compare this recent killing with 19 homicides at this time last year.

  1. Probably going to hit another record this year if people are killing each other in this kind of cold.

  2. Probably will set another record, but it’s not like Kansas City is a murder capital of our country. For example, Baltimore has 36 murders and Chicago has 70. Philadelphia has 64 murders and St Louis has 25. Our local hood rats are lame and weak.

  3. I don't think our hood rats are lame and weak it's that those cities might be a little bigger so they just have more of them. Our city is growing so we might catch up to them. You have to give them credit they did take down four malls "including the Plaza" and are working on the last two.

  4. 7:00 St Louis has way less people than Kansas City. Look it up. By about 180000. Our hood rats are weak and unmotivated.

  5. When making comparisons you have to adjust for population. Best to use murders per a common number like per 100,000. This gives context and a true rating order. You'll find Kansas City is very competitive when looked at in this way.

  6. 7:09 why are you making excuses for our weak ass hood rats? Our hood rats can kill with no threat of prosecution by Jean Petersucker Baker. They prefer to stay comfortable in Grandmas house, living off her welfare check. Our hood rats wouldn’t survive a week in St Louis.

  7. ^^Because Kansas City is a diverse and thriving city and your lily white ass wouldn't last 60 days in the hood would it Poindexter?

  8. 8:05 Yet, you thrive in this city, if only because you are proficient and enthusiastic about sucking dick. Weird.

  9. ^^And yet you project your homosexual lifestyle choice on others to make yourself feel normal. Extremely weird and creepy!

  10. Attention KC thugs:
Houston had 409 homicides in 2020 and so far 50 in 2021. We understand the failures of our school system didn't instill in you the motivation to excel, but your efforts are pathetic. You'll always be second and third class to Houston and St Louis. Losers!

  11. Our third rate city has third rate hood rats.

  12. ^^And 5th rate libtards.

  13. Kansas City had a record year for murders in 2020 and St Louis had 60 more than us? I would say our hood rats are very weak. Maybe not even third rate.

  14. There it is again...95th Blue Ridge Blvd. The area is a war zone. It's been overtaken by thugs and social companions. Live by the sword. Die by the sword. Check the company you keep. If they are know terrorist in the Black community that should clue you in... you are not safe among them.
