The Kansas City murder count has, thankfully, fallen behind last year's record setting pace but that doesn't mean the problem is solved.
Accordingly, a local fight outside of a home last night spun out of control and left one man dead.
Report . . .
Police were called to the area just before midnight Wednesday on a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found a man dead in front of a home. He had been shot. Police believe he lived in that home and he was involved in some sort of disturbance between him and another person who did not live in the home.
This is the 11th homicide so far this year compared to 18 at this time last year.
