KC streetcar expanding to UMKC area, city planning professors weigh in
The Federal Transportation Administration announced a $174 million grant on Jan. 8 to expand the Kansas City streetcar service to the UMKC area. Kansas City also received an additional $60 million worth of funding in 2020. The funding will cover 3.5 new miles of rail, bringing the streetcar's reach from Union Station to just south of UMKC's Volker Campus.
It's the truth for once the prof is right
ReplyDeleteThe boutique rail COVID incubator ftw!
ReplyDeleteSorry prof but they gang where you worked banged the gong for the toy train. Learn to live with it. You could always go build solar panels. No sympathy here. Don't bitch when you got what you voted for.

ReplyDeleteDon't you think the city should be open first Lucas? Putting the cart before the horse just isn't the right thing to do. Oh I forgot, you're lacking.
TOY TRAIN GOOD
ReplyDeleteCITY OPEN BAD
The toy train is about gentrification not transportation. It is about pushing low income, students, elderly and fixed income people out of Midtown. More luxury apartments and condos subsidized by taxpayers with the help of city hall.
ReplyDelete^^anything o push the elderly out. They suck.
ReplyDeleteToy Train equals Covid spreader.
ReplyDeleteMakes sense for Kansas City leadership to make that decision.
Maybe if they could place a snow plow on the front of the toy train at least Main Street would be cleared off.
Train from downtown KC to Gladstone... Now that would make more sense. Get over it people. Is there any point the idiots in Kansas City don't complain about everything under the sun.
ReplyDelete9:42, a train from downtown Kansas City would be metrorail and that makes sense. But that is not a streetcar. Streetcars are outdated slow technology that runs on city streets instead of rapid transit dedicated rails.
