Mr. Washington's rebuke demands that local news station speak to their support for inclusion with actions rather than words.
Again, this isn't a request for diversity or quotas . . . Instead the call out simply requires local news to practice what they preach.
Even better, when we look at the demographics of the players on the field it seems ridiculous that the journalists have so little in common with the athletes they cover.
It's a controversial stance to be sure but Mr. Washington's bold assertion rings true and identifies local media hypocrisy that heretofore has been unnoticed.
