TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY OFFERS EPIC DISCRIMINATION SETTLEMENT DESPITE BUSTED COVID BUDGET THREAT!!!

Times are harsh at 12th & Oak and despite the Democratic Party takeover in D.C., it'll be awhile before Mayor & Council get their hands on money in order to assist with a $50-MILLION shortfall

To wit and in the aftermath of MLK Day . . .

KANSAS CITY PREPS TO GIVE AWAY NEARLY HALF A MILLION BUCKS AMID YET ANOTHER DISCRIMINATION LAWSUIT!!!

Here's the deets from a KICK-ASS INSIDER backed up by publicly available dox . . .

Ordinance 210050. Human Relations Department (the anti-discrimination folks) and an employee from there . . . City paid $450k to settle employment discrimination lawsuit AFTER the first trial ended in a mistrial. No confidence.

Now . . .

City Hall legal is notorious for serving as the punching bag of the local legal eagle community.

However, given the desperate circumstances at city hall . . .

SHOULDN'T THE HIGH-POWERED LEGAL TEAM FOR KANSAS CITY PUT UP MORE OF A FIGHT AGAINST EPIC PAYOUTS?!?

To be fair, winning a discrimination case is tough in this town and most civil complaints like this one are handled outside of the courtroom.

Moreover . . .

This HUGE payout reveals that whilst the Mayor & Council typically lecture all of Kansas City on the topic of injustice, inclusion and diversity . . . Their own workplace suffers devastating discrimination complaints.

Nevertheless, this glimpse at local legal drama offers a hint at how taxpayer cash is typically handed over without much of a struggle.

Developing . . .

  1. Don't argue with the city hall retirement plan. It has served kc well over the years and keeps so many workers complaint until the day when they can sue their boss.

  6. The city council is mostly lawyers, it is their way paying off their friends. Who contributes most money to city council campaigns. This just the way they kickback money. The lawyers get 25 to 30 per cent of the money.

  7. A brilliant comment 9:29, cityhall retirement plan LoL.

But don’t forget expense reimbursements and especially mileage as a way to shore up a city bureaucrat’s flagging retirement account.

  12. through the years i watched as employees abused the system and were rewarded with huge settlements; the legal team at KCMO is worthless UNLESS you are a white man and have a grievance filed against YOU! then they are all over that!!!

  13. This was nothing more than lickass making something out of nothing to prove his liberal and racist agenda, if there isn’t a problem in his world he’ll make one so he can say look at me I’m taking care of the racist people in the city.

Fun fact; the city percentage of black employees is around 80%, is this the final solution to making it 100% black?

  15. Calling City Hall for services or to file a complaint is as beneficial as slamming your nuts in the door.

Hateful, rude City employees feeding their face with Cheetos while watching BET TV on-line. You could fire every city employee and citizens would never know the difference.

  16. ^ Some City employees are so lazy they shit in their desk drawer so they don't have to walk down the hall to the restroom.

  21. @ 1:29 That's really true I remember when some of the discount stores were still open downtown back in the 80's and the black women would go into the dressing rooms and pee on the floor. In 07 I used to watch them pee in the church park at Armour and Harrison in broad daylight. There was so many doing it that it stunk. I'm sure things haven't changed.

  32. You all have missed the point. Read the ordinance or the case. The employee worked in the Human Relations Department, the one that is all about fighting discrimination. And one of their own employees, Thomas Randolph, was all over this case. So the department who fights discrimination also commits discrimination. Philip Yelder, Randolph, and that entire department should be cut. Also, this was the SECOND lawsuit the City settled that day. All told, they paid out $700k in settlements to two people.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yelder should go
