Recently, waiting for the bus and regretting that I didn't just become a 'house husband' for one of the many angry women in the legal profession rather than walk around with a toothache and all of this useless self-respect . . . I noticed one of many signs that ANTIFA runs pretty deep in the Kansas City urban core.
Similarly, there's no question that this cowtown is awash MAGA proponents judging by last year's truck rally wherein a parade of massive vehicles demonstrated their devotion to the Commander-In-Chief by circle-jerking around town in oversized trucks and totally HOPEFULLY NOT compensating for other shortcomings in their lives.
Unfortunately, these groups of opposing activists will likely never meet in a battle royale that would make the world a better place and rid us of AM talk radio AND fair trade coffee in one fell swoop.
Instead, there's a far greater threat that MAGA & ANTIFA groups will target individuals who they rightly or wrongly assume align with their political opposition. This risk of politically motivated violence has worried local authorities since the Capitol riots.
Sadly, what we've learned over the past week is that neither MAGA nor ANTIFA will disavow violence and fighting words across social media have spiked.
Even worse, the risk of politically charged confrontation in the Kansas City metro doubles the threat to the plebs given that police & politicos still haven't figured out if they're going to do anything special to address last year's historic crime wave.
Check the links and maybe realize that your favorite political pundit hack earns a generous salary for delivering talking points whilst everybody else just repeats their garbage and risks alienating friends & family or starting an altercation with one of the many wacko true believers who, sadly, hasn't figured out that the antics of a former game show host shouldn't be taken so seriously . . .
