Kansas City needs a billionaire to get an NBA team or it'll go to Las Vegas
It's as simple as A-B-C-D. That's how former National Basketball Association team president Andy Dolich explained it when discussing the four things league owners will consider if they decide to add more teams. "The A is avidity: the market you're picking has to be an avid sports market," he said.
Kansas City or Vegas for your basket ball team an owner has to dwell on.
ReplyDeleteDoes an owner have to think very hard on the matter which would be the better city?
Face it Kansas City, there will be NO NBA. Get over it.
ReplyDeleteKC has lots of big-spender wannabees.
ReplyDeleteBut look at the financial beating the new owners of the Royals are taking.
Professional sports teams need, not just billionaire owners, but billionaires who understand that they will have keep spending THEIR OWN MONEY forever.
Certainly in a small market like KC.
Bring back the T-Bones!
Enough chigggers in KC already.
ReplyDeleteCould've had a nice trial run with Toronto but the idiot big mouth blacks told them KC was a racist city. Blame it solely on them.
ReplyDeleteMahomie should buy a franchise..mebbe not a Billionaire yet...but close!
ReplyDeleteThe last thing kc needs is a crappy NBA team
ReplyDeleteStars don't want to play in the midwest
Look at Harden
Just keep booking Concerts and College Basketball. That is where the money is.The Downtown restaurants are packed Before and after an event. We must let the Show go on.

The NBA sucks, it's the China Basketball League. KC needs to stick with the college basketball scene, fuck the NBA.
ReplyDeleteAn NBA team here would fail within 5 years. It would be neat at first but then after everyone realizes that we are a shitty expansion team and annual losers nobody will show up. Look at the Royals attendance. When the team is a winner everyone will show up. When they lose they will run out of money and leave town.
ReplyDeleteWhoa Andy, "avidity" has 4 syllables. Well done my man, well done...
ReplyDeleteWhat people seem to forget is that was part of the scam to get the p&l built, was the wink wink nod nod deal that a major sports team nba or hockey would come here if we built a nice arena, they were NEVER GONNA BRING A TEAM HERE PEOPLE! We were duped into spending all that money so some developer buddy could get rich. SCAMMED AGAIN.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Mchomie can buy it for his wife to control. Keep all you ball scratchers in smiles and couch farts.
ReplyDeleteI team was never coming. It was the big lie that Kay Waldo Cronkite whatever the fuck her middle name was Barnes, and her Wormtongue, Steve Glorioso told the rubes in KC Proper to build the damn thing.
ReplyDeleteBarnes was a do nothing mayor. Didn't do anything about crime, jobs, housing, infrastructure. During her time more jobs and people moved to Johnson County and eastern jackson then any mayor before.
A NBA or NHL was a pipe dream.
