Today MSM outrage was mostly focused on Prez Trump with Kansas City social media mostly repeating talking points gleaned from smarter people.
Sadly, most of the fun Capitol riots memes have dried up and now we're mostly left with talking heads throwing ritual tantrums amid the "mostly peaceful" transition of power.
Locally, the vote fell upon party lines.
In Missouri, two lawmakers voted in favor of impeaching Trump. Here's how all eight members voted:
- Rep. Cori Bush (D) — Yes
- Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D) — Yes
- Rep. Sam Graves (R) — No
- Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R) — No
- Rep. Bill Long (R) — No
- Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R) — No
- Rep. Jason Smith (R) — No
- Rep. Ann Wagner (R) — No
In Kansas, only one representative voted yes:
- Rep. Sharice Davids (D) — Yes
- Rep. Ron Estes (R) — No
- Rep. Jake LaTurner (R) — No
- Rep. Tracey Mann (R) — No
The punchline here is that this vote was mostly ceremonial very much like the electoral college certification that rioters interrupted.
Meanwhile the debate continues as the nation preps for more divisive discourse as a Democratic Party White House, Senate & Congress take control.
