Trump should 'absolutely not' be blamed for U.S. Capitol riots, Gov. Parson says * Missouri Independent

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson expressed dismay on Wednesday at news that a pro-Trump mob stormed the U.S. Capitol to derail the certification of President-elect Joe Biden's victory. But he said people should "absolutely not" place the blame for the violence on President Donald Trump or the Republicans who were trying to block certification of the presidential election results.

  1. This is total bullshit. Trump incited the riot. He only halfheartedly told people to go home. He restated lies about the "stolen election." It's time for the 25th or a quick impeachment and removal. He can do way too much damage in two weeks.

  2. Really this just shows poor security is at the capital. What if real terrorist would have been doing this. It is terrible one person lost her life. What was done today was warning that their could be a terrible massacre if security is not improved.

    1. Terrorists were doing this dumbass. So they didn't blow up anything yet but they succeeded in making a political point by violently terrorizing hundreds of people.

  3. 7:51 for the win.

How do a bunch of idiots (that are not all MAGA supporters by the way) walk in and 30 minutes later end up at the Speakers desk, while Chief Wild-Eagle and his Hekawi buddies are swinging on the Rostrum in the Senate.

The Capital Cops must have been taking training with Capt. Parmenter and Wrangler Jane.

    1. Because it was white reactionary people you fucking imbicile. Anyone associated with Black or Muslim politics would have been gunned down for staging an insurrection at the Capitol.

  4. Trump told the terrorists "I'll walk with you to the Capitol"!
Of course, he didn't, he scurried back to the White House and hid in his basement bunker, but he still said it, and it was certainly, without any question, incitement for everything that happened.

  6. ^^^^You know he can't get involved in any of the riots he incites, what with his bone spurs and all. It's up to losers and suckers to do the dirty work.

  8. There are still apologists for Nixon and Reagan, even after the harm those two did to this Country, so there will no doubt continue to be apologists for this Nasty Bastard!

But there is one sure thing - today will be Trump's ONLY "legacy".

  9. I’ve been embarrassed for and angry withTrump for over a year, but he did not hold guns to the heads of people who stormed the capitol.

How did security not have control of the situation?? Looked pretty easy to get in their and do some major damage.

The issue is bigger than Trump. Most of our country’s politicians have been acting like elitist idiots. Our media is click-bait driven and fans the flames versus being objective.

  10. Parson should be tried for treason and shot if guilty
