KCPD expects all officers to be equipped with body cameras by March

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department anticipates all of its officers to be equipped with body cameras by March. It is a long-awaited tool that the department hopes will not only help them strengthen community relationships, but also hold their officers accountable.

  1. I don't know why body cams would make a difference if you shoot or rough up a black criminal the cops are still going to pay the price and be blamed for it. It's always been the democrat way. Right mayor Kim Jong-Un ?

  4. We welcome body cams. Harder for JPB to release criminals when she is forced to provide proof that the cops are telling the truth all along.

    hiring cops with integrity in their hearts -- who cares about the body cam, which, let's be honest, do you want every second of your day recorded, farting, laughing with co workers, like all the moments, it is too much an invasion, too much to scare away a good guy who might put on the badge, and honestly ways around it would exist because there always are.

    the push for body cams seems like a push to get this expensive technology contracts going, and maintained, and probably licensing etc

    i am not against body cams just not sure they are the end-all-be-all answerj
