Kansas Confronts Red State 'Extremist' Tag

MSM talks extremism this week and local red states earn a rare mention from talk show pundits who are mostly camped out in bigger, better cities.

Example from across the pond . . .

BBC: "People in places like Kansas and other Republican-leaning states worry openly about the government trying to control their lives, and to take away their livelihoods."

Even better, heres' another glimpse about the growing push back against red states . . .

'It's endemic': state-level Republican groups lead party's drift to extremism

n Arizona and Oregon, they rebuked opponents of Donald Trump's assault on democracy. In Hawaii, they defended followers of the QAnon conspiracy movement. And in Texas, they adopted a slogan with dark historical connotations: "We are the storm." To understand the future of the Republican party, start with the army of increasingly radicalised foot soldiers who shape it at state level.

  3. Yes, exactly, like the quote: "People in places like Kansas and other Republican-leaning states worry openly about the government trying to control their lives, and to take away their livelihoods."

  4. I’m a federal employee who donated small amounts to the Trump campaign. It’s all published by the federal election commission. Federal employees are now combing those databases and circulating emails with the names of employees like me to shame those who donated to Trump. Biden political appointees have only been on board for a week, I am waiting to see what they intend to do about people like me. The federal unions are certainly urging them on to take action. It’s not easy to find an employment lawyer who is not a rabid Democrat.

  6. I'm a Fedral Taxpayer who was forcd to donate large (no, YUUUUGE) amounts to Trump's personal wealth through his thefts, and I say that breaking the stranglehold that the Trump Cult has on it is the only hope the Republcan Party has for survival.

  12. Assault on democracy???? Now that's funny given the fact we are now under a dictatorship by an old man and a whore who has put thousands out of work and is going after thousands more in the eastern states and is giving your stimulus money to foreign country's. You democrats deserve to be poor and broke that's what you voted for and he didn't even win proof you stole the election. I hope you starve.

  13. @9:59 somewhere in your incoherent rant I think there was yet another implication that the 2020 Election was stolen, but yet again with no shred of proof.
What we saw was Democracy in action!

Of course, it's easy to understand why Republicans resist the comcept of their losing, they are so accustomed to manipulating the Election to void the will of the Voting Public.

Never forget that only four US Presidents (Hayes, McKinley, Bush2 and Trump) have ever been put into Office without obtaining a majority of the Popular Vote, and that all four of them were Republican. Newt ingrich's "Project Redmap" was nothing new.
