Kansas City Property Owners Beg For Assistance Amid Continued COVID Rent Strike

Eviction moratoriums target landlords but many property owners aren't big, soulless corporations, only small time owners with a little bit of space to rent that they cobbled together through hard work . . . Tragically, some of them haven't been paid for almost a year and they're unlikely to recoup any of that cash.

Here's a peek at their side of the story . . .

As eviction blockades continue in KC, landlord groups call for rental assistance

Leaders with the tenants rights group, KC Tenants, locked arms outside the Eastern Jackson County courthouse on Tuesday blocking the entrance for morning eviction hearings.Group leaders say the physical blockade stopped 41 morning eviction hearings, and virtual disruptions delayed 62 evictions in the afternoon.Independence resident Kenneth Gobble welcomed the group's actions."I'm barely making it," Gobble said.

  2. Landlords will abandond property and banks will foreclose and sell those homes to eager first time homebuyers with cash. Forcing renters out on the streets! If landlords skip mortgage payments it causes banks to foreclose and ruins landlord credit ratings. Its alot worse for landlords than renters.

  4. The extremist of the left and right have more in common with each other than they think they do. The common enemy is a government that does not have the common citizens interest at heart. Haven't for decades. The slow to anger Americans said so with Obama and got cheated. Madder the second time they went with Trump. The government and the press didn't listen. Time is up. The left and right need to realize they have a common enemy. The people are not the problem, its the government.
