Activists ask for transparency in Kansas City police union contract negotiations

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City police officers involved in deadly shootings are allowed 48 hours before giving an official statement to investigators. The 48-hour rule is one of several protections for officers outlined in the Fraternal Order of Police contract.

  1. Any officer involved in a shooting should, as a requirement of his or hers employment, be required to make a statement to any investigative agency as soon as possible after the event occurred.

  2. 'As soon as possible' - there is a quantifiable standard. You are a retard.

  3. Officers don't lose their 5th and 6th Amendment protections when they are hired. They are afforded the exact same protections provided by the same laws we are provided. Officers may be ordered to provide a statement, under conditions of employment, but then Garrity protections apply and those statements cannot be used in a criminal investigation. The last thing anyone should want are statements that are provided, but then excluded from use in the case review and trial.

  4. How about some transparency in activist organization funding? Who is paying these activists to shill for leftist causes?

  5. We actually need more criminals to be shot and killed by the cops. If we had a good prosecutor instead of a useless lieve of shit like Jean Petersucker Baker, we could rely on the courts.

  7. No one gives a shit about black ppl or sjw issues any more - if you haven't heard the election is over.

Wait another 4 years then we can care again about black criminals resisting or over-dosing while being arrested.
