Kansas City Homeless Form Union

With a great deal of social media support, another advocacy organization has launched,.

Skeptics might believe that more enterprising souls have seen the support earned by KC Tenants and have been inspired to duplicate the experiment.

We'll wait and see, for now, check the mission statement posted publicly . . .

Houseless leaders in Kansas City met to officially form a homeless union.

"This isn't just a meeting. This is a meeting that will officialize a homeless union in Kansas City. We're tired of begging. Once we unionize, there's nothing they can do to stop us." - J

  18. Sooo. What will their collective bargaining goals be? Demanding housing? Who are they going to demand it of? The city? The feds? Aren't there programs for them? Section 8 housing and housing projects? Aren't most homeless (why houseless?) homeless by choice? Aren't many of them living in motels with state and federal funds, eating free food, and cranking out more kids for more free money opportunities?
