KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City, Missouri, police are looking for two people wanted in connection with an attempted robbery last week that left one man critically injured. Shortly before 8 p.m. on Dec. 29, two suspects attempted to carjack a man outside J's Fish and Chicken restaurant at 2831 Prospect Ave.

Judge orders prosecutors to turn over a KCPD report in Kylr Yust case before the end of the month

A judge has given Cass County, Missouri, prosecutors until the end of the month to produce a Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department report in the Kylr Yust case.Yust is accused of killing both Kara Kopetsky and Jessica Runions, and abandoning their remains in a rural area in Cass County.The women disappeared nearly a decade apart, Kopetsky in 2007, and Runions in 2016 - their remains were found on the same Cass County farm in early 2017.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- A young man who was shot on Dec. 28 and died from his injuries on the first of the year has been identified. According to police, officers were called to 8th and Prospect just after 8 p.m. that Monday for a shooting.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- The FBI is investigating an attempted bank robbery that happened on Monday. It happened at the Bank of America branch at 3100 Main St. in Kansas City, Missouri around 2:30 p.m. According to the authorities, the man approached the teller and made a verbal demand for money.

Grandview police say standoff ends near 136th, Cypress

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - UPDATE, 6:42 p.m. | The standoff has ended, a spokesperson for the department told 41 Action News. According to the department, officers went into the home on Monday afternoon but could not find the suspect. The owners of the home are adding a basement to the house, and officers eventually found the suspect inside a crawl space.
