City council considering new proposal to make more affordable housing in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Renting an apartment in Kansas City could soon be more affordable. The Kansas City Council is considering a new rule that would require developers who get tax breaks to offer a portion of their units at a reduced rate based on a family's income.

  1. With the result that rents for the market rate apartments will increase so that they are no longer affordable for middle income renters. Once again the city shows it favors the rich and the poor over the vast majority that constitutes the middle.

  5. Hopefully 11:02 is right. We have enough "development" and "momentum" to last for years to cum.

Build apartments inside Independence Center. Should be able to house at least 500 gimmees. They could have paintball games in the center, only with real bullets. Oh the joy!!!
