Rather than dealing with small biz like adults and treating local stakeholders with the respect owed to people who have made a significant investment with their lives and capital to provide services to Kansas City . . . Mayor Q is using a celebrity-style presser event to unveil his latest pandemic plan.
Accordingly, by all indications we'll see a continuation of more mask orders with a slight chance that locals might be allowed to do biz until midnight now that The Dotte is pushing back against the COVID curfew.
Effectively, that just ruined the mayor's surprise . . .

A formal announcement is expected Wednesday. The current order is set to expire in four days.
As of late Tuesday afternoon, the administration was still working on how long to extend the order. Currently, there's a mask mandate both inside and outside when 6 feet of distance is not possible. It also has restaurants and bars closing at 10 p.m.
While the vaccinations have started, Kansas City Health Director Dr. Rex Archer said the end is not close.
"We can see light at the end. But it's a long tunnel," Archer said.
