Kansas City 2021 Homicide #10: Gunshot Victim Killed At 19th & Kensington Ave.

The local murder count continues to surge as the Kansas City cycle of violence starts again this year.

Right now there are fewer murders in 2021 than last year when KCMO suffered 16 killings at this date on the calendar.

Still, the pace seems to be picking up and few solutions to this tragic spate of deadly violence have been shared with the public by politicos or law enforcement.

The latest . . .

KMBC:Man found shot and killed early Saturday morning

Deets . . .

"Kansas City, Missouri, police were called to the area of 19th Street and Kensington Avenue just have 3 a.m. on a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds just east of the intersection. He was declared dead at the scene."

  1. the solution is tougher sentences from judges and more rigorous prosecution. The voters should also take responsibility for not demanding as much.

  2. Number ten right on schedule.
KCMO averages ten murders every month, with a ramping up of the mindless violence as the weather gets warmer.
The clowns at 12th and Oak make believe they are still trying to figure out why this goes on and on.
    Slavery?
    Statues?
    Street names?
    White privilege?
    Unconscious bias?
    Microaggressions?
The list is endless and somehow the actual reasons are never discovered.
Maybe another few million tax dollars for Aim4Peace, ad Hoc, NoVa, or whatever the latest idea from a college professor or consultant has been sold to the clueless KCMO electeds.
    Sad.

    1. My kindred spirit. Don't forget the quintessential excuse... the lack of Black role models. Yet, they are everywhere you turn. I have never had a lack of Black role models! It's complete and total BS. The notion that naming streets after people born during or slightly after the roaring 20's and 30's is somehow going to inspire a 20-something today is absurd. They have lots of stupid excuses and none of them are rational. The truth is, these killers/shooters are related to people in these communities. Somebody always knows these people and have known of their propensity towards violence. Facts.

  3. blm...are we still at 100% black on black murders.

Reminder blm has a billion in the bank but has done nothing to try to stop black on black crime, fed one hungry child, clothed one poor child, housed one homeless family but pays its jewish founders and board millions.

  4. I have to agree the voters are responsible for a lot of this. BLM is a terrorist organization. Is PBS going to have Susan Rosenberg on talking about the real BLM and what it's all about? Maybe they should check into the truth instead of the propaganda they are trying to push with this racist and dangerous group.

  6. St Louis has a population of 180000 less than Kansas City but had 80 more murders in 2020, even though Kansas City obliterated the all time record. Why can’t we compete with them?

  14. This is not going to change in East Patrol until the leadership within the police department takes their head out of their asses. We have leadership at East Patrol who cares nothing about the community. The homicide rate is not entirely their fault, but the horrible community relationships within East Patrol is. They have done nothing and in fact, they have made it worse. Please get ride of them, bring Volker Back. Make East Patrol Great Again, Bring Volker back. He was not perfect, but the leadership now is horrible disappointing. I bet the leadership doesn’t even know who the real community leaders are.

    1. East Patrol won't ever be great again. They played politics with peoples lives moved the building where they can be the least effective all because some jheri-curl slinging, old aged street preacher wanted it. They killed the neighbor and peoples will to even be associated with those assholes. Theyll just have to live (or die) with the consequences. Doesnt matter how many new buildings get erected. People first.

  15. 11:05 - it ain't the police committing murders. Take your blame game to the parents that raised these animals and never taught them right from wrong.

  16. Well, if he was dead at the scene, then he wasn't suffering from those gunshot wounds now was he? The suffering was already over.

  17. Cops' hands are tied by politicians. Cops respond. They can no longer stop and frisk, or they'll be racissssst.

This is not a cop problem. It's a black culture and dimocrap (and GOP RINO) problem!

I don't know if the black culture can ever be solved. Look around the world at black run countries. All fail without outside support.

Until there is a political will to fix this (there won't ever be), nothing changes.

  18. 1105 is so brain washed he can't believe his own lieing eyes.

The blacks are violent and kill each other, the cops have no control over the animals.

  19. I wonder how many of these types of murders happened during WWII? When we all felt it was a tragedy that young American boys were being shot like deer by the Germans and Japanese each and every second for years and years?

I bet murders were much lower when life was deemed more precious.

TV and Movies trivolize life and shootings. Die Hard started it all. Yippie- Ky-A your shot dead.

  20. Uzazi
The term Uziza refers to the dried fruit of the West African deciduous shrub Zanthoxylum tessmannii, syn. Fagara tessmannii, a member of the 'prickly ash' Zanthoxylum family. The name of the spice is derived from Igbo, a language in Nigeria, where the spice is grown and harvested on a commercial basis. Zanthoxylum tessmannii is a close relative of the Sichuan pepper, and Uziza has a similar taste profile to the Asian spice. However, unlike Sichuan pepper where only the pericarp of the fruit is used, uziza is used whole. This may explain why uziza has a spicier flavour and greater pungency than sichuan pepper.Wikipedia
