Right now there are social media "activists" referencing Kansas City as part of a massive election fraud conspiracy.
Never mind that both Missouri and Kansas both solidly voted for Prez Trump and will give all of their electoral votes to him.
Here's the allegation from a social media account with a surprising number of followers and earning a great deal of tacit support via retweet . . .
Now, what's important about the push behind this story is that there is a small element of truth even if the main crux of the assertion is false.
The claim seems to be based on a case that was successfully prosecuted and sentenced last year.
DOJ Western District Of Missouri - Former Postal Carrier Sentenced for Stealing Mail, Drug Trafficking
Deets . . .
"Employed as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service from June 9, 2007, to June 5, 2017, pleaded guilty on Jan. 17, 2019, to one count of mail theft by a postal employee and one count of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. The defendant admitted that she stole driver’s licenses mailed to customers on her route, as well as credit cards, debit cards, rebate cards, checks, and other mail matter. Manning also admitted that she used the stolen identifications, credit and debit cards, and checks to unlawfully purchase items and to create counterfeit checks."
Again . . .
THE ONLY VERIFIED ARREST OF A POST OFFICE WORKER IN KANSAS CITY WAS THREE YEARS BEFORE THE 2020 VOTE!!!
As always, we don't think people are "evil" or wrong for considering this story given so much skepticism in the mainstream news. But the reality of a Kansas City post office arrest refutes claims that provide little to no evidence. As always, we believe that open FREE SPEECH discourse in all of its complicated forms will help facilitate greater understanding and help the facts come to light.
