THE LONGEST NIGHT 2020: RECORD BREAKING KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE COUNT MOURNED BY FAITH COMMUNITY!!!

Tragically, grief has become a tradition for communities and families in Kansas City and this year the loss suffered by locals has been historic.

Accordingly . . .

Once again, faith communities unite to honor homicide victims and comfort so many residents coping with loss.

Here's the word and a local tradition that will hopefully help to heal this cowtown . . . Check-it:

Murder crosses in Brookside

With a record number of murders in KCMO, this is a critical year to remember the victims families.

Several area churches and organizations will conduct a Longest Night Service of Remembrance on Monday Dec 21 at 7PM at Wornall Road  Baptist . We are inviting any and all all family members of murder victims. We want to let them know they are not forgotten at Christmas. This is the first Christmas these families will not have their love ones. Some people question the purpose of candlelight and memorial services. The purpose of this one is to try to comfort the loved ones who remain. To let them know they are not forgotten. And to commit ourselves to do what ever we can to make more city a more peaceful place.

This event will take place observing all COVID-19 precautions, social distancing and mask etc. There will also be a live stream of this event for those who find it necessary to remain at home.

  1. They've been doing this for awhile. I was always hoping this tradition would end eventually when violence got under control. Unfortunately, it keeps getting worse every year.

  2. Glad to see some churches sticking to their mission rather than trying to be political and direct voters.

I've actually been to one this prayer service in person and it was powerful. You could tell it helped a lot of people. And the crosses are an important reminder of all that we have lost.

  3. Pray for the families.

  4. these people in "total denial"...and I don't mean that big river...

  5. I realize we broke a 27 year old record, but we can be thankful that Kansas City has a relatively low murder total when compared to other Democrat-run shitholes.

Baltimore has 309 murders and Chicago has 748. St Louis has a way lower population than us, and way more murders with 249.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Still a shithole!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Need to adjust those numbers to reflect population with a ratio to get full assessment for comparison. You will probably find Kansas City with a lower population actually has a higher ratio as we enthusiastically race towards the top of the shit pile.

    ReplyDelete
  8. 6:27 Sure of that? In 2018 Kansas City had a population of 475000, St Louis was 308000. You are a dipshit, but now you are at least an informed dipshit.

  9. ^^^ stfu moron

  10. 6:27 makes a valid point. The murder rate should be reflected with a per capita variable in mind.

Here is, according to the Gestapo/DNC-Enforcement Bureau/FBI as of 2020

    St. Louis, MO (Photos)
    Baltimore, MD (Photos)
    Jackson, MS (Photos)
    Birmingham, AL (Photos)

Now the FBI is filled to the brim with lying, low life motherfuckers, but there is, at this point no pressing political advantage for Democrats in this stat, so, it is probably fairly accurate.

What will NOT be accurate, is the racial breakdown. For decades, Hispanic and whites were lumped together in the DOJ stats, in order to mitigate the outrageously disproportionate African American criminality evidenced on an ongoing basis.

I am not sure about that as of today, but, again, the DOJ and the FBI are nothing if not liars and water carriers for the corrupt, inside the beltway Progressive scum that make up the entirety of the Federal Government.

  11. Just what we need. More “thoughts and prayers” the same empty hopes and wasted time for generations.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yup! Kansas City is a vibrant and thriving place by God! 😏🍿

  13. The discord was originally sown under the Obama years and was amped up to 11 by the press during the Trump years with their claims of Russia collusion and an illegitimate presidency and clamoring for impeachment. In the last year the left-wing nihilist base has been burning and looting and physically attacking patriotic Americans. Now they stole an election and if they think that the people they have attacked and robbed are going to just settle down they have another thing coming. They changed the rules of politics. Any violence is ultimately of their making.

  14. Kansas City has become a sad place for a city. If we don’t vote these idiots out we will be a dead city before long! Everyone I know is moving, city council best wake up, Lucas this disaster will be on your watch!

  15. 1- You should research the change the FBI did to statistics in the mid 1980's, as murder statistics became highly skewed to NOT reflect the actual murders /murderers ( mostly the same people) and 2 - The Crosses of Brookside should move a few blocks East to reflect the area s that have the murders/ murderers. Then take BLM supporters by the hand and skip to show them the problem. and 3- Our Metro is a shithole of violent crimes, mostly by the same People that make up BLM. Stop buying dope and making excuses for the same people that commit crimes, or stop bitching about it. Weird

  16. Just make sure the Satanist Quinton Lucas doesn't put a stop to this. He is going to get triggered and become unhinged as usual. With that said, I will be praying right along with the church.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Is that an unfortunate typo in the event flyer or is this church an offshoot of the Westboro Baptist Church?

    ReplyDelete
  18. That wasn't a typo. It was a Freudian slip. 😏

    ReplyDelete
  19. Since we can’t change the reality that our murder total is increasing, maybe we can change our perspective. We should consider the possibility that the increasing murder total is good for our city. Are not most of the murder committed by criminal hood rats and their victims other criminal hood rats? Is this not a good thing?

  20. So one part of the faith community is putting crosses on their church lawn.
Another part, as best exemplified by Rev Howard, is braying at the Police Board to fire the chief.
Yet another is marching around making demands about changes to organizations that they haven't even taken the time to learn anything about.
How about at least ONE part of the faith community being honest about the perpetrators of all the violence and homicides and wade on in to that small part of the minority population and bring whatever they can to bear on the actual problem.
Including helping hard-working responsible residents to protect their own neighborhoods and cooperate with the police.
Surely there must be some serious members of the faith community who honestly understand that what the rest have been doing, and continue to do, is a bust.

  21. “Kansas City named one of the most sinful cities in America”

“Kansas City ranked fourth in Anger and Hatred. The city ranked 34th in Jealousy and 104th in Greed.”

“Kansas City ranked 5th most murderous city.”

It’s official, we are a third world shithole city!

Now that’s momentous momentum right there! Hahahahaha!

    ReplyDelete

  22. I know it wouldn't be "official"..but..I bet if they just counted the KC population south of the rive and murders there..our murder ratio would be Number 1 !!

    ReplyDelete
  23. 9:25 alluded to it. I would suspect a surprising number of these victims are themselves murderers. They were killed over drugs, territory or some such perceived slight. Not to rejoice in their deaths, but in most cases, it's not as if they were on their way to school or to a job or church when killed. Still sad.

  24. TOP PHOTO -- "ONE CROSS FOR EACH HOMOCIDE VICTIM"

    HOMOcide?

  25. Pray the murder away

  26. Church is dumb

    ReplyDelete
  27. @3:50, Church isn't dumb, Church is highly profitable - the people who go to Church are dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  28. BLM should be required to paint a red X in the street to commemorate the murders they paid absolutely no attention too. F--k the hypocritical leftist pinko demoncrats.
