SOUTH KANSAS CITY SUFFERS SUNDAY GUN FIGHT SHATTERING NATIVITY SCENE!!!

On a Sunday amid Christmastime in Kansas City, the friendly South side neighborhood of Fairlane endured a hail of bullets exchanged on otherwise quiet neighborhood streets.

Check the comprehensive description from the VERY BEST OF TKC TIPSTERS . . .

"3 guys got out of black Jeep and three out of silver Ford, and exchanged fire (over 40 shots) with someone down the street beyond the blue house. Three guys got back into the Jeep but they drove straight into the Nativity, taking out the Three Wise Men and crashing into the white car in the driveway. The Ford picked up two of its shooters and, at the end, the third as well as the three from the Jeep.

"Jeep driver seemed to get left behind.

"That’s how I saw it. Return fire seemed to split a branch on pine tree in center frame."

Take a look . . . As always, local MSM should feel free to use this footage and maybe give this blog community a shout out in the spirit of the season.

TKC Readers, please stay safe out there.

  1. F-ing chaos out there.

    Thanks Sly, Thank Q.

This is a nice neighborhood. Shame what's happening in KC.

    1. Of course this is a damn shame. But our city is more concerned about enforcing time limits on restaurants. Sad.

    2. Sorry, not a nice neighborhood.

  2. How was the police response time? I bet it sucked.

  3. Well if we had a prosecutor that would do her JOB many of they gang bangers would be killing each other in JAIL where they belong

  4. Fairlane is totally a nice neighborhood. This isn't some run down place. A guy has an ornate nativity scene, most poverty stricken places don't do that kind of thing.

These are middle-class houses with nice cars in the garage.

That isn't pride in saying that, it should just show that crime is crossing over into parts of KC that have never have to deal with it before.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Nope. Not a nice neighborhood. What qualifies as “nice” neighborhood? Is it the split level houses? Naw... anywhere you see this type of activity... it might have been a nice neighborhood in the past but it now, most certainly the hood. Nice neighborhoods don’t have gun shootouts or saggy pants black males having dangerous gun play and wreck less driving. You’ll never see this type of activity in a “nice” neighborhood.

  6. Fairlane is full of section 8 tenants, low income folks. Bad neighborhood. Red Bridge area... I don’t even like to go in that part of town. Nicer neighborhoods are at the Lees Summit, Kansas City border. This is considered low income housing. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  7. ^^^ Again, you're still missing the point.

This kind of thing doesn't usually happen in Fairline. That residents have a relatively high median income and there are a lot of retirees who worked professional jobs.

If it can happen here, it can happen in Leawood, Lenexa and any other place you might consider "nice" but is quickly changing.

That's what you're overlooking. That things are changing fast and places that were considered nice only last year have not become battle grounds.

Wake up. You're not safe in Johnson County either. Gun violence getting worse is a problem the entire metro is going to have to deal with.

    ReplyDelete
  8. LOL!

You think Lee's Summit doesn't have gun fights too?

Sorry, they have a lot of crime in that area too, it's also changing rapidly.

Don't believe it? Look at Grandview or Raytown. That's you're future. Sorry.

  9. 3 black guys got out of Jeep and Fired at 3 Black guys in a Ford. Then 3 Black guys at a house. Weird

  10. I’m not missing the point at all. Median income doesn’t mean much. Look at the tax records, if there is wall to wall investor types on the tax record, this is a poor, to low class neighborhood. All of the median to high income folks have long since moved away. This neighborhood starting changing from good to bad in the mid to early 2000. It’s now full on hood... concentrated with these types of people - and other types who can’t afford to move away and are stuck there. Fairlane is a bad neighborhood.

  12. Ruskin, Ruskin Heights, Ruskin Village..., anything near or surrounding Ruskin is a bad neighborhood. All very, very bad subdivisions.

  13. blm, everybody in the whole world simp and feel sorry for blacks when they do shit like this every single day in every city in america. i live in a southside hood, i heard resounding gunfire at 5pm today, i thought was this it, nope, just another shooting else, so common place, but lets get little white girls to hold signs at 103rd and nall saying black lives matter when their ass would get hit in the cross fire of these fine sober upstanding genteelmen.

  14. If you really want "nice" neighborhoods, then don't look anywhere nearthe Kansas City metro area. It can get rough anywhere in that vicinity. Violence is not uncommon.

  15. Facts: Fairlane Subdivison is bounded by E Bannister Road, Blue Ridge Blvd, I435/I470. This is the area where the old KMart is supposed to be converted to the new Price Chopper (moving from Bannister/Blue Ridge) to Bannister/Hillcrest. This neighborhood has been in decline since 2005, at the latest. This is not middle income housing. This is low income housing. No “professional” people live in this area. These are working class folks, just south of the Cerner complex, and East of the South Patrol Police station. It is concentrated with apartments on the South and poorly built split level homes; some of which sit on a train way rail line - many of those houses have structural issues and because of it, have cause many of the houses to fall in disrepair. This is a tenant rich community. High incidence of foreclosure and vacancy. The area is 63% Black occupants per the City data. Zip codes 64134, 64137. Median income is 45K, which is Missouri’s average but lower than Kansas City’s average income of $51,000. The folks who live in this Fairlane community are in service/sales jobs. Not professional jobs. This can be found at the City-data.com for these zip codes.

  17. Median House Values $119,000, which suggest low income. Median House Value in Missouri is $250,000. Average house price in Kansas City is $225,000. Now, you can quickly see this is a not-so-nice neighborhood. $225,000 doesn’t get the super deluxe housing but it does get you in safer neighborhoods and better quality school systems.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Poverty % in Fairlane, 15.5% compared to Kansas City as a whole at 16.4%. This is another telltale sign that this is a not-so-nice neighborhood.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You can't get a nice house in KCMO for 225,000?

    Good luck everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  20. No Fairlane sales comparable in 2020 sold for at or above $225,000. Highest sale to-date $194,000 (complete remodel); Lowest sale to-date $66,000. Another indication of low-income housing.

  21. What the hell is wrong with these thugs?? This is not a 3rd world country like some people must think we live in with all the murders, drive by shootings, looting, violence, etc....it's never ending. And people want to defund the police....you must be mad sick and insane to want this I thought this was America where civilized people live. If you think these crimes are ok please move to a 3rd world country where you will be wanted. We do not want this in our country. And who in their right mind films shit like this and posts it and doesn't try to do anything about it. Forgive me if you did call the police. For those of you who are ok with these criminals maybe we should have a Purge and get it the hell over with. Cause I am sickened by what is going on in KC and other cities across the country.

  23. You're wrong 9:38, this is a 3rd world country with a one party system that just stole an election and is elevating a doddering old fool into the oval office, for about 20 minutes, prior to Kammy Harris.

This country is a joke and the real power, is the FBI/KGB/Democrat Police that run the police state.

  25. 9:27pm You can buy an affordable house in a decent neighborhood for $225,000 in Kansas City. They are plentiful. Can you buy $400,000 house quality for that price...? No. But we’re not talking upper class, where talking middle class. $225,000 is attainable, affordable and considered middle class. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and you can verify by visiting Realtor.com, searching Kansas City, Missouri, filtering house prices from $200-225k, Single Family homes. You’re welcome, if you want to save some money. Sounds like you prefer something a little higher range and that’s fine.

  26. That porch cam footage looks good enough to identify at least one of these fine upstanding young potential Rhodes scholars were it not for all the disproportionate racism I hear white people on npr talk about

  27. The mayor and city clowncil have lost total control of this city and all except the white women should be removed immediately for failure to protect and serve.

  29. There have been no reporting similar shootings in Riss Lake, Tom Watson Subdivision, Lionsgate or anything high quality neighborhood. It just doesn’t happen. The people who live in these communities live by a different code and do not tolerate this type of behavior or hang around people involved in this type of behavior and certainly don’t bring these type of people into their communities. So - yeah, in theory, this kind of violence “could” happen in any neighborhood but highly unlikely in these communities I just mentioned. It definitely is part-and-parcel for Fairlane subdivision, and the surrounding communities. I digress.

  30. Wondering how many parked cars are now riddled with bullets and the engine is killed as a result of this random gunfire?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Those dumb asses left plenty of evidence behind... just abandoned the car completely after wrecking it in somebody’s driveway. God, the homeowner who’s cars just got totaled and his home owners insurance premium is about to skyrocket - hit and run. Yeah, ask the homeowner who is about to face financial ruin if he/she lives in a nice neighborhood... Nice and expensive; and uninsurable.

  33. Closest intersection Cambridge/98th Terrace, just off Blue Ridge Blvd. Google maps shows a neighborhood on the decline. Neighborhood is mostly small ranch homes with a single car garage. They don’t clean up leaf debris in this neighborhood. Water runoff issues. There is nothing nice about this neighborhood as evidenced by the gunfire.

  39. It sounded like a female driver in the Silver Ford from the video. I think the driver of the black car is the one who got hit and expired. Just my guess.

  40. KMBC confirmed driver of black car is deceased and probably the reason it lost control. You can tell from. The video that he likely got shot by how he/she was operating the car.
