Law enforcement and politicos are obliged to make this ask every year . . . The warnings have even less impact then pleas for crime tips, social distancing advice, e-tax reminders and encouragement to wear condoms . . . Of course, locals locked at home won't be doing any of that tonight.

KCPD, Mayor Strongly Discourage Celebratory Gunfire
Gunshots or fireworks? While that may be a running joke in the city's urban core, the Kansas City Missouri Police Department and Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas strongly, emphasis on strongly discourage celebratory gunfire when celebrating the New Year's holiday. "This type of gunfire is 100% preventable," said KCPD Chief Rick Smith.

ReplyDeleteWell sure it's going be ignored. The city has no law and order. So funny the mayor strongly discourages celebratory gunfire but does nothing to stop it, he actually encourages it. Get your knee pads out Lucas maybe you can get Patty cakes Mahomes to go out and about with you. Oh and stake out a good bush.
