Mayor Promises New 'Glass House' KCI Despite Airline Industry Crash

Today's MSM news features a comforting promise that totally contradicts the devastation that the pandemic has wrought upon the airline industry.

Also, nobody mentions that we wont' get that kick-ass fountain that was promised.

Check the unquestioned proclamation from Mayor Q . . .

KMBC: Kansas City Mayor: New single-terminal Kansas City International Airport to be ready in March 2023

Deets . . .

"Construction is well underway on the $1.5 billion project, and city leaders are hopeful the new single-terminal design will be a solution to the aging and outdated situation currently at KCI. The project was expected to take four years from the start, with an anticipated opening date in 2023 at the time of the 2019 groundbreaking.

"Build KCI also announced on Wednesday that it intends to have 39 glass passenger boarding bridges in the new terminal project."

  3. Such a practical facade in a locale that experiences extremes of heat and cold during the seasons. But the airport is free so no doubt will also be the costs of heating and cooing it.

  4. Sly Games and his cronies lied when they promised us that it would cost a billion so it's only a half billion more, That's 500 MILLION OVER their phony promise.

  5. All of that glass in the middle of an area known for tornadoes.Hmm. That's what happens when you select out of towners to design your airport.

  6. Instead of friends flying into MCI for the weekend and touring the once famous Plaza, we can take them to restaurants and shops at the airport, then they can get on a gatt damn jet and fly home the same afternoon. No need to clean the house cause they'll never see it.

  7. Has anyone ever asked "What happens if one, or more, of the airlines goes bankrupt or quits flying in/out of Kansas City because of COVID?"
