Kansas City Star Imagines COVID Small Biz Apocalypse Already Underway

Sadly, the newspaper blames the plague but doesn't really mention that lack of leadership and small biz frustration with city hall rules.

Here's a curious editorial that's really more of a 12th & Oak promo than any journalistic insight into Kansas City life . . .

Kansas City could see a wave of small business closures due to COVID. What can you do?

Many of your favorite mom-and-pop businesses across Kansas City are in serious danger of collapsing due to COVID-19 - and due in part to Washington, D.C. You'll need to go out of your way, safely, to help them survive renewed COVID-19 restrictions, especially during the normally bustling holidays.

Small business closings would not be due to Covid but instead due to Mayor LetThemEatCake’s and Wrecks Archer’s idiotic decrees making it impossible to run those businesses profitably.

How about sensible COVID restrictions versus big gov't, heavy handed dictates?

Professor McDrinkerson! What are you up to today? What a great mayor. Businesses closing, infrastructure crumbling, and developer sweetheart deals cruising right along.

Oh yes, and a record murder tally! Good job Professor!!

WASHINGTON, DC—After weeks of partisan bickering in Congress, Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell have announced that a bipartisan relief bill is finally ready for Trump's signature. The bill will include stimulus to replenish Pelosi's ice cream freezer, more money for the Congressional Sexual Harassment Legal Defense Fund, and free "Going Out Of Business" signs for small business owners.

"We are proud, so proud, to finally bring Americans the help they so desperately need in the form of millions of free "Going Out of Business" and "Store Closing" signs for hard-working business owners," said Nancy Pelosi.
